I think if he had been represented by council he may not have received the sentences he did - regardless of whether they are consecutively hundreds of years, I’m sure they would have leaned heavily on ‘mental health’, they’d throw in some race baiting etc, even if he was found guilty which everyone knows he would be, he may have had more of a chance for a more favourable sentencing or appeal. I am SO glad that he chose to represent himself, very unfortunately it was made more tragic for the witnesses and survivors, and made a mockery of the courts, but despite that, he sealed his fate as an evil SOB, narcissistic, manipulative, abusive, murderer, and he will go down in history as only that, none of this ‘well, but, he’s mentally ill’ etc, just a monster.

With 76 charges it took 1 hour 45 minutes just to fill out the paperwork so it actually took them about 15 minutes to find him guilty, it went something like this they enter the room , sit down, pick a foreman, first vote GUILTY, so it actually took about 15 seconds

Technically, during jury trial, you would normally turn to the jury, when answering questions ..it's jurors duty to decide the fate, after all been Saif and done, so to speak ..it's just in this case, it's quite pleasing to me, no-one wants to look at the idiot! Reasonably 😌👌

I know we all want to hate the defendant and therefor his “representation”. But fir example at the beginning, it is appropriate for those being examined to direct their answers toward the questioner. If you have watched other high profile cases like the Amber Heard trial, it was specifically noted as a negative behavior for her to continue answering and preaching to the courtroom/jury rather than directly answer the questions as if it is a back and forth dial pager that the jury is a party to. I did consider that a bit unprofessional (but also totally understandable as this man may not even have the stomach to continue this charade while looking him in the eye). That being said, I noted it as odd, and immediately the defendant inappropriately called him on it. So I think it’s fair to say that it was a breach of normal etiquette. Also, what is with the prosecuting attorney? I thought what he said although fubbled a bit was extremely clear and obvious. Then she makes a big scene of it like it was mumbled or inaudible…? Huh? I do get the feeling the prosecution was playing dumb often throughout this case to frustrate or even downright troll the defendant. And that’s just from watching some of these highlights. Of course Mr. Brookes is waaay out of line each and every time he attempts to scold anyone for doing so. But I can low key feel the dynamic he is hinting at. It’s there. Again though, as everyone is human, that is unavoidable.
@Debs4406062 жыл бұрын
@@vgold4286 Amber heard trial was a defamation trial and the reason her directing her answers to the jury was frowned on was because she was lying to them and “trying” to act like an abused person when she clearly wasn’t. This officer was acknowledging the jury’s importance by addressing them directly and showing his contempt for the defendant, which he’d every right to do, and it’s not a breach of etiquette in any way shape or form. He will be used to testifying. and some witnesses do address the jury directly. It’s quite common

Darrell Brooks did not seem to understand that his stupid behavior in court was certainly not doing him any favors with the jury. Each jury member scrutinized him every single second during this trial, and they noticed every idiotic thing he did and said. Brooks wasted their time needlessly during this trial but they wasted little time rendering their verdict.

I'm watching this for the one millionth time. During the interrogation of the detective, Rowe he hunches over the table, then when he waits for the answer while jutting his face forward. His animated face, even covered with his cloaking device, (mask) are hilarious. He's so ticked off that he couldn't get under the detectives skin.

"WOULD YOU SAY ITS FAIR" that Mr Brooks is an absolute monster that is going to live out his waste of a life behind four walls with toilet and a sink. I think it is truly fair he was found guilty on all counts. May his name be forgotten and the victims live in the hearts of many and those affected can start to heal.
