Well I finally got it but it took some time to understand that slowly manually forming the knot after creating it would make such a big difference. I also found your comments about knotting to be a great pastime to be spot on. Knotting while sitting listening to music or watching reruns of Midsomer Murders is fun for me.

Love your how-to knotting videos. Just started learning and I find your video tutorials are much easier to grasp than others I've seen, specifically with regards to the lanyard knot and jug sling knot. I appreciate your thorough explanation and easy to understand procedure for tying the knots. Well done mate! Cheers.

Your lanyard knot is in fact a foot rope knot which is a diamond knot inverted or inside out if you make a foot rope knot and then roll the crown down over the wall you get a diamond

Nice video this is in fact a footrope knot the difference between a diamond and footrope knot is one is the other not upside down but inside out if you make a foot rope knot and roll the crown down over the wall you get a diamond and if you make a diamond and roll the crown up over the wall you get a foot rope knot the easy way to tell which is which is to see which end gapes as the diamond gapes from the ends the foot rope knot gapes from the middle and it is a gapping foot rope knot that is Ashley's bend 1452 abok
