SSA needs to stop pretending that people who clearly meet the listings don't meet the listings, especially for mental health conditions. SSA also needs to ensure that ALJ'S refrain from denying mental health cases on the basis that the claimant has not been in in-patient care.

Thanks for the new video. I have watched a lot of your old videos on KZbin and learned a lot. Just send out a notification that you are doing a live stream and people will watch. Have a great day.

I will do so. This was my first attempt at live streaming. I was at a hotel with bad lighting and very average wi-fi - future streams will look a little better, I hope!

This was a very helpful video. We could see you fine, even if the lighting wasn't as bright as you wanted. It was great and really informative. ☺️🙌

Who would think there’s a whole convention to assist clients ✅
@ssdattorney5 ай бұрын
A lot of knowledge is being shared at the convention.

I am 64 my case is in reconsideration. What if your job you had over 30 years ago up to this point in time contributed to your back / spine problems where your body can’t work anymore . How does that new 5 year rule affect your claim ?
@beaubostick78374 ай бұрын
I am confused on why it takes longer on reconsideration then initial application.. because I know there's a lot of people that drop out after they get denied the first time

How would someone who has represented disability clients in the past approach their own disability claim?
@ssdattorney5 ай бұрын
There is an old saying that "he (or she) who represents himself has a fool for a lawyer." The question is whether you can be objective about the strengths and weaknesses of your case. The same issues apply - what are the work activity limitations that arise from your medical problems and are they severe enough to preclude competitive work?

I don't think the comparison to for-profit insurance companies is fair. Let's say I know a little about insurance from a corporate perspective. Many people who work customer service for the for-profit insurance companies also are engaged in selling. There is no selling at the SSA.
@ssdattorney5 ай бұрын
That was exactly my thought when Commissioner O'Malley made that comparison. He was focusing on operating expenses as a percentage of revenue.

Can you help someone with Anesthesia Dolorosa cause by Gamma knife for Trigeminal Neuralgia. 😢 next to impossible to live this way let alone work. I viewed your video on this. Do i quit my job first? I need the Medical for now is why im there. If i leave i could also lose my home. Stuck inbetween a rock and hard place. Desperate for help because this experience over the last 5 years has overwhelmed me. My voice talking the echo hurts my facial structure. I keep biting my tongue and lip and inside cheek when i talk. I have to eat slow. The pain. A scary one. I feel close to death. Is it expensive to hire a lawyer to help you file and win. I have trial in Jan. with a Malpractice Lawyer who doesnt do disability. My Trigeminal Neuralgia unfortunately stemmed in 2019 from an accidental surgical error. A really sad one. Nothing to even celebrate any amount of winnings about. I just need out of work before i collapse over. Do i have to get a Lawyer in my own State. I dont feel i can make it to Trial in this state. I am completely scared. Im a patient at Duke for pain management and Wake Forest for MVD and Gamma Knife. I really need to quit my job. Smh. 😢 j
