Absolutely golden nuggets of information in here much like other videos by Jared. He is so spot on when he says to always keep an eye on one time frame higher and one lower; you may get stopped out on a smaller time frame but when you look back at your trade on a larger time frame it hits you that the stock was still moving just fine in the direction your analysis predicted. Always make sure what the stock is doing in the grand scheme of things (larger time frame) and then select your stop loss and position size accordingly. Seems obvious, doesn't it? ...and yet so many of us jump in too quickly and never account for these variables.

I am from Oliver Velez or I Fund Trader and we call this “ red bar ignore and green bar ignore” it is when a green take out red high and when red take out green low. Entry is above the red and stop below the red. We use this to buy pull back , add to the bigger play because this is a smaller risk play. We simply buy the rbi near rising 20ma above 200ma and take profit far away. This has a really high probability about 87% of the time . If we has a strong move first then the rbi, it is usually the middle of the move

Jared, thanks for the lecture as always. I thought that having a clear set of rules for trade mgmt (for example "2R AON" or "2R raise to BE at 1R") and adhering closely to them was critical to developing consistency over time. But the kinds of preemptive exits you have been presenting in the last few lectures are essentially discretionary (borne from experience, and on a case-by-case basis). If you allow those kinds of exits in your TP, you are not doing 2R AON anymore are you? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of seeking consistency through consistent Trade Mgmt, or are your Trade Mgmt rules just becoming guidelines at this stage? Again thanks for your valuable content.
@matt90603 жыл бұрын
If you have a 2R AON then this presentation is "worthless" to you. Why? Because it isn't in your plan. Above all, you always stick to your management plan. Now, after watching this video, you can change your plan, if your data supports it, and no longer use a 2R AON. That said, even if your data supports you switching from 2R AON to a custom money management strategy, that does not mean you get to be discretionary whenever you want. It means you get to be discretionary when your plan says you can be discretionary.
