Black Pudding is a lot more common than it seems, in Poland we have a version called Kazsanka which is also a sausage stuffed with barley, pork liver, seasonings and pork blood - pretty heavy on the barley in most cases really - and it is *_fantastic_* baked or pan fried with some onions and with a sour pickle on the side, which helps cut through the richness you mentioned. Frankly what goes into them is less mysterious than what ends up in a hot dog.

^^ the first time I had black pudding was on my first flight to Ireland. I ordered breakfast and it said it would include black and white pudding and I thought "sweet! chocolate and vanilla pudding for dessert!" - obviously there was no chocolate or vanilla pudding. So I asked the stewardess where my pudding was and she said "in there with the beans and sausage" and I was like "yo wtf? you put chocolate pudding in there?" and she just looked at me like I am some sort of madman and just left. Only later did I find out what those weird but delicious discs in the beans were. You gotta try them without knowing what it is and you LOVE them ^^

I learned years ago that your blood type can affect your digestion of certain foods. When I researched it I was shocked at how accurate it was to my body and the suggested items to avoid eating were all things I had cut from my diet due to stomach issues. Could be kind of a cool video idea where you can lay down the facts for us and see if it's true for you too🙂

Blood pudding/sausage is an acquired taste and is usually liked by those who were raised eating it. It comes from tge days where food was not easy to get and everything from the animal was used and nothing was wasted. Love that stuff! Black pudding is awesome and high protein, there are good low fat versions too. Decent fry up that, coming from an Englishman of Irish descent. Traditionally that should set you up for a really heavy day's drinking, (an all dayer), until the stagger home at night when you get a kebab.
