It's Super Bowl Sunday and I thought there's no better way to celebrate then to make a video dedicated to all things football! Throughout this video I try some staple meals from top NFL players including Tom Brady and Von Miller as well as give my best attempt at some of the combine challenges such as the bench press, 40 yard dash and Wonderlic test.
When I think of football I think of the super bowl. When I think of the super bowl, I think of high calorie high fat snacks. In this video I show you all a few awesome healthier party food alternatives so you can enjoy the game while staying on track with your diet! In this video I show how to make:
1.) Greek Yogurt Spinach Artichoke Dip w/ Pita Chips
2.) Buffalo Cauliflower Bites
3.) Beer Seltzer
GREEK YOGURT SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP
- 14oz can quartet artichoke hearts
- 10oz package frozen spinach
- 1 cup greek yogurt
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup parm
- Parmesan herb seasoning
- 2 gloves garlic
- Salt to taste
*Put all ingredients into a bowl and combine well (Leave some extra cheese for topping)
* Place into an oven safe bowl and bake @350 for 20-25 minutes
HOMEMADE PITA CHIPS
- 4 whole wheat pitas (cut into 8 equal triangles)
- 2.5 tbs olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dry rosemary (any herb you want)
- Little salt and pepper
* Cut each pita into 8 triangles and toss with all ingredients
* Bake @350 for 8-10 minutes
BUFFALO CAULIFLOWER BITES
- 1 large head cauliflower
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
* Break up into small pieces with egg in large bag
* Add dry ingredients to a bowl then to bag and evenly coat
* lay on baking sheet
* bake at 425 for 30 minutes (Air fry for 15 minutes @350…turn once halfway)
* Cool for 5 minutes. Pour sauce on cauliflower and toss
* Back in oven and broil for 5 minutes
BUFFALO SAUCE
- 1 cup franks hot original
- 1/2 cup veg broth low sodium
- 1/3 cup raw cashew
- 1/4 white vinegar
- 1/2 tsp garlic & onion powder
* blend all till smooth
BEER SELTZER
- Half a lime
- Half a can of flavored club soda of choice
- Half a can of beer of choice
- dash of chili powder (optional)
- Ice
