"alone, but not lonely," as they say ☝️😌 my apartment is my favorite place in the world and I have a few tips for living alone successfully & happily! learn a language online with Lingoda → try.lingoda.com/BlissBean_Sprint
I've been living alone for 5 months now and it's the best thing I've ever done. As an introvert, I love being able to come home to my own space each day to recharge. Of course, it can get lonely sometimes, but I've gotten better at striking the balance between alone time and social time 🫂 These are a few tips I've picked up along the way, I hope it helps ☺️

Yes I can relate with this so much!! My favourite part of my evening routine is cleaning the kitchen/doing the dishes! I also agree that the weekends can be the most difficult and that is why I always make plans with people. So glad to see you’re enjoying living alone! 😁💕

I agree with soooo much of this! 2 years of college was spent with a roommate and the last 3 I lived alone. My roommate was awesome and I loved living with her (we’re still best friends) but I loved living alone so much and it’s been so hard having to live with family again until I can afford to get my own spot again. I’m a pretty extreme introvert though so I never really got lonely, like I’d go home during the summer, but still had my apartment and would move back for college a few weeks early w/o telling any of my friends who lived in town, just so I could have that time of complete solitude before the people overload began. But having all my friends in the same town (and family only around half an hour away) was a nice happy medium so I could hang out pretty much whenever, but also had my own space to go home to and decompress

For me living by my own was hard at the very beggining, I cried a lot, especially that I have lived in 4-members family and than with my boyfriend, but now I LOVE it, being ambivert, but not much social, I mean, I don't need company that much. And I work from home, which is also nive. I love my little home.

I've learned background noise is very important for me. I'll run the washer and dryer, turn on the fan, or the a/c or heater, the tv or youtube on my phone, the radio. Got to have noise, sometimes a lot of noise. I had a fairly big family and quietness is weird to me. Having a pet helps, plants help, fish tank helps. I find writing in a journal helps as does listening to loud'ish music. Meditating sometimes does. And also, just getting out for a few minutes does too, going for a short walk or sitting on the patio, or going to the store, going for a 30 minute drive around the city. Something else that has been very useful is creating to-do lists, keeps me on a schedule of sorts so I make sure i'm staying busy and keeping the house clean and errands done. Hobbies help too, in my case: lego's, coloring, video games, creating excel lists to track goals, playing with my dogs, etc. I've got to stay active when alone, or I'll go cuckoo from the boredom.

I completely agree with everything! I have been needing more background noise lately too, I feel like, especially after going home for school breaks and being around my family. I like to put on the TV quietly so that I just hear the chatter through my AirPods but not the actual words Also going for short walks is soooo good, if I have a little errand to run I treat it as a break!

Really love the vibes of this video! However for me living alone is going pretty badly as I feel quite lonely a lot of times even though I often meet up with friends. Also I am more on the extrovert side, so that might influence that too I find it very interesting how different people are, e.g. my brother loves living alone just like you💗

You're back! Yaaaay!!!! All my favorite KZbinrs are coming back out of hiding. ❤️ Coolzeez. I use to sleep in the floor in the living room with my daughter and said that we were having a sleep over. We would just set up some blankets, pillows, and a sleeping bag. We would watch our favorite movies and eat popcorn while lying in the floor. 😊 You can make up your own rules when you're in charge 😉

I’ve lived alone for 15 years. It’s amazing. I can do whatever I want, whenever I want. I would never throw an egg at a cabinet though because I would have to clean it up. Don’t worry about what others think about you when they come to your home. Everyone is weird and does weird things.
@Anonymous_Anon882
@Anonymous_Anon882 Жыл бұрын
When you’re living with other people it’s more a case of you having to clean up after them, as well as not being in the kitchen when they’re there because you just want to get on uninterruptedly unless you’re in a social mood. It’s fun between the ages of 18 and 21 and everyone should have some experience living with flatmates and whatnot but the older you get (especially if you’re naturally quite introverted) the more you’re going to passionately loathe noisy people messing up and hogging your space. You’re much better-off on your own. Extraverts are extremely, extremely annoying to live with.

@@Anonymous_Anon882 That's true. I'm passed 21 already and couldn't move out of my parents house coz I have to take care of my grandma who has alzheimer's(coz none of them want to take on the task and completely left her to me coz apparently I owe it to them). Being an introvert living with messy and lazy people is hard. No one cleans so I do it coz if it's messy, my mental health declines faster... I work at home and it's the worst feeling. I thought it'd be better at first but now I have to tackle taking care of the house, my grandma and running errands while working. Not to mention I pay for half of all the bills (my dad pays for the other half) while all the groceries is my responsibility so every month, I have trouble saving money for myself... It's exhausting.. Can't wait to finally get out of here. My hair is falling off so much from the stress...

I've had my own house for about 8 years and only lived alone for 6 months total. I finally decided to kick my roommates out (family that was renting rooms) so in 3 months, I will finally live alone again and I don't think I've ever been this excited. Been watching "Introvert living alone" videos to hype me up!

Even living with family as an adult can be unbearable. Sometimes the company’s nice but generally it’s easier to just live alone. Flatmates/other company beyond the age of 21/22 often just serve as an annoying hindrance. You’re determined to be quiet and clean and they’re determined to be loud, messy and full of chaos. You don’t want want to be walking into all that when you just want to be in your own space, unless you get on with the people extremely well. But more-times familiarity breeds contempt.

this video "why I live alone" me: why not 👁👄👁 it's really hard to find people who can respect your privacy and personal space. I've been luck AND unlucky with roommates /flatmates and I now stand by not compromising my peace UNLESS there is a place that is really my dream place/location and I just can't afford it (and even in that case, no more than 2 or 3 bedrooms). Either way, I think sharing your place with other people in terms of life experience is something that can shape you in some ways and help you understand what you really value, need and want as a person. Thank you for this video Beatrice!
