So, do you agree with my matrix/chart for labeling classes? Where would your classes this semester fall?

I kinda relate to this vlog A LOT. As a freshman college, there are lots of things I wanted to do and some of those are outside school. But I feel like most of my time are spent to school works to the point that if you ask me what I've been up to this week, I'll say academic. My takeaway from this video is that you don't have to do your best in every subjects especially if you feel like that class won't serve you. I should focus on my "priority" classes that I see beneficial to me and not let school eats up my life.

I'm so glad you are so honest in this video (and all your videos) because it normalizes that being a good student isn't always about the image we have of the straight-A student. Being good in school is about knowing yourself and the classes, being able to understand what is important and valuable. Sometimes skipping class is more beneficial than forcing yourself to go to everyone... Honestly, through the years in uni, I learned that sometimes you have to accept to turn in mediocre papers in order to take care of yourself and that some lectures are just a waste of your time and you'd better just read the textbook at home. Studying is a science and it takes years to master, I'm graduating in a year and I am so frustrated to be learning so much so late.

I think one of the thinks i hated the most when i was a freshman, is that most of the classes were unuseful. I was horrified because in highschool i dreamed that college will be this place amazing, where everybody will be in classes because they would actually want to learn. Unfortunately, the professors were mediocre, the students were also mediocre and nobody really seemed to care :(

I'd advise being careful with judging how useful a class is right in the 1st or 2nd semester of a degree. When I reached the last semester of my Political Science degree, I saw so many students that lacked important skills and understanding of important concepts because they thought that the philosophy or introductory courses of the 1st semester were useless. I always took an approach to learn first and judge later, and now that I'm a PhD candidate and TA in political science, I follow really closely all the work and thought that professors put into organizing the academic curriculum. Your curriculum is built by the experts on your field, there's a great chance that they know better than a freshman what is useful for your career.

10:10 the study guide!!! I get a study guide from my bio professor in a word doc with a big list of questions!!! How do you format it to answer it?! I’ve been copying and pasting it into google sheets and honestly I’m hating the format. I can always show you not on KZbin how I’m doing it but I’m hating my method.

I’ve used your tips to set up my Apple Watch, customized my watch and iPhone and gleaned ideas for apps that would work best based on my lifestyle. Today I’m exploring the EverNote platform. Thank you for sharing this with us! I love the option of creating multiple notebooks and ability to give the app a trial run before committing to a paid subscription. I sure like what I see so far. ☺️

How do you set limits to yourself? For me (for example) I can tell myself I need to get this done by then so I can have more time for other things with blocking and everything and yet I still tell myself when the time comes that the assignment is anyways due next month so I don’t need to do I now and instead procrastinate or sleep in.. ur videos are Amazing❤️

Amo tus videos, y trato de integrar las técnicas de estudio que mencionas en lo mío, pero el problema de estudiar ingeniería es que solo lo puedo usar en exámenes orales donde me preguntan teoría, pero me ayudas a motivarme. 7:41 C'mon, they know it, and don't care. They were once students too and it's very likely did the same. Everybody knows the problems in the system but it doesn't seem worth it to change.
