The best part is the philosophy that the cheapest spots are the best. It is true.

The propane lamp is a work of art. The sound they make also adds to the nostalgia factor. The mantles turn to fragile ash every time they are used so I imagine every time the trailer is moved a new mantle needs to go on. Oddball things like this make a home special and memorable.

I like the priorities, beds and a bit of flat counter space are everything. It's such a tiny space that separate beds would still feel close, and they could still snuggle up on one bed for a while when needing more touch. Great balance of needs imo. Back to the video :)

Such a great tour, Wendy and Dave! Loved seeing your trailer! ❤ We are so much alike in the fact that we love to travel and see the beauty of this world and share it with others! God bless you both! 🙏🏻

We had a tin can ham slightly smaller than that growing up. We then went to a roomier bigger pop up camper. I’ve camped for as long as I can remember. What a nice camper. Pretty neat that it has an old fashioned gas light in it!

I use to own a 1965 tear drop shaped trailer. Loved it and went traveling across America back in 1980s. Whooooottttttt

Enjoyed this interview and tour - I rarely imagine myself in a trailer, until I see someone who's organized it well and shows how well it works. Thanks!

In 1971 my folks dragged my older brothers and I across the USA and back in a similar early 1960’s trailer just like that. Brings back great memories! Thanks for sharing!

That's beyond awesome. My vintage trailer is a 1972 Hunter Compact Jr., which Bob showed about 4-years ago. I like to collect vintage items as interior decorations. 🇺🇸🐎🐂🤠😺

i love this Camper and the way they fitted it out for themselves. I once was homeless and was able for two months live in a similar one but it was longer and two doors front back...these Tin Cans really can be fun and economical if done right

I hike, paddleboard, bike, and do some, but not nearly enough (only have tent) camping. I am also slowly approaching retirement age... (60 next year), but like most people, I'm locked into working full time+ to pay the mortgage and the rest of the expenses. Enjoy your freedom and the scenery 😎.

I really relate to your sense of aesthetics AND technical practicality. I've never believed in complicated, hidden and breakable plumbing and electrical systems in RVs. That stuff always ends up breaking on you and being very expensive to fix. Keep it simple is my motto and yours evidently. I'm going to check out your channel. Have fun!

Separate beds are a good idea for couples in a small space (especially older people). I’m always amazed when I see older people living out of a van.

I moved to New Mexico with a little tailer like that. I was married we stayed in parks with showers and rest rooms. We lived in it for a fairly long time. This was in the early 80s. Wish I still had it. I pulled it with a car.

I like the idea of using a youtube channel as a record of experiences. Might have to get back into it. Made some shitty videos and had fun and deleted everything. Got a better camera now, it'd be more fun.

Kind of a shame to get a vintage camper that doesn't fit your needs just because of how it looks and then cut it up and change it.
