Glad you are happy with your home. As we get older it is nice to downsize and make life simpler and less stressful. No mortgage and less bills. You have all you need.

I also live full time in my 23 Wolf Pup 16FQ. I removed my stock mattress and put a 3/4” piece of plywood with piano hinges so I could use a memory foam mattress and fold up.

A grinder with a flap disc will take the rust off the step then use some rustoleum. Like everything about your new camper and setup. You even have a nice outdoor space!

Hi Tim! From upstate NY... Looks like you a renting a space of private property? Any idea what staying at an RV park would cost? keep up the good work!! love watching your positive attitude ..and look forward to the end line ""crush it! " lol

I had the same issue with the blinds next to the window in my 16 BHS. if you call Forest River, they can send you a replacement. It held in with four screws, and some thing you can easily do yourself with a handheld screwdriver.

Looks very comfortable! You did good Tim! Without disclosing how much you paid, would you say you paid the equivalent of about 2 years of rental at about 800 to a 1000 dollars a month.

Yep I have the 2017 16fq I changed the queen size bed to a twin bed. Yep the string on my opposite window just broke, trying to figure out if I wanna fix it or put in a set of blinds like over the sink. Enjoy your new setup 👌 #FROG
@SarasotaTim2 жыл бұрын
Hey Tales, my string works by pulling it up then wrapping it around the little thing on the bottom a few wraps. Funny how the same problem. Enjoy yours too. 😎

One thing to keep in mind with the gate on the back of that unit: that 200 pound weight capacity does not include the spare tire. It weighs 50 pounds, and gets deducted from your carrying capacity. You can carry an additional 150 pounds, or remove the spare to get the full 200.

You have any issues towing with the 4runner? I have one and just bought a camper for full time living and this is a concern of mine, even though I am under 5000 pounds.
@SarasotaTim2 жыл бұрын
Tracy my camper ways 3000 pounds empty with 1000 pound payload making it still 1000 pounds under the 5000 pound rating my 4Runner has and I would not want to put the strain on the motor and transmission by pulling it across mountains for sure. So I don’t pull mine. The five speed transmission is always shifting down to 4th gear when trying to go over 60 mph. I won’t sell my 4Runner and I’ll tow my camper but slow and as least as possible. 😎

Question...what happens when a Hurricane is approaching? Do you need to leave the area with the camper?
@SarasotaTim2 жыл бұрын
That’s a fair question Anthony but I’ve lived through so many of them. There’s lots of mobile home parks here in South Florida and they’re still standing. Of course of the eye of the storm goes over your location you’re done! This is what they don’t tell you in the hyped up news. The outside forces are strong gust for sure depending on the category of the hurricane however it’s the eye which is generally no more than 20 to 30 miles wide and that would be a big one that does the destruction. However I can certainly hook it up and hit inland where you’re completely safe because after they come ashore they die out quickly. But I am right on the beach so I will have to keep an eye. Hurricane season starts June 1 through September 30. Or maybe November 30 I forget. Thanks for commenting 😎
