Denise Francis, 27, lives in a 1-bedroom loft apartment in Yonkers, NY and pays $1,850 a month in rent. Since graduating from college, Denise had been saving up to move out of the two-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn where she lived her whole life. "This Brooklyn girl ended up in Yonkers because this had all the things that I needed: the complete loft upstairs, the different rooms and more than enough space," she says.

You can walk to the 2 train from parts of Yonkers. She got a good deal but that is not commonplace so close to NYC border..unless other factors are bringing it down.

I enjoyed this episode. Denise has such a lovely and open spirit. Her sense of style is is simple yet slightly exotic. I loved the African coffee table by the pink couch, as well as the orange arch as an accent piece, and the plant table in the breakfast nook area. Not to mention her puppy.....cuteness overload!
