Micha is the cutest most well behaved little boy I've ever met. He is so chilled, most likely because his parents are nice and relaxed with him. Mark and Ying you most be so proud of him. Xx

The wet bathrooms was something I couldn't get use to while traveling in SE Asia for my first time last year. It was quite a shocker for me who's grown up with a western style bathrooms. Love the concept of this new channel. I look forward to seeing more!

Virginia Solomon Third world countries are like that because they don’t have that much money and resources to make it better. Maybe Cambodia before the Khmer Rouge in 1975-1979, houses and buildings were more western, French colonized and modern just like we have in the west but all of the rich and influential people were killed during the war so it’s hard for us right now to go back the way how it was before because all of the corruption and politics. You should watch Cambodia 1965, it’s very different than what you think.
@unknownmini9235 жыл бұрын
Bathrooms were different back then. But homes like this are more cheap than the other areas because it’s more touristy. A lot of people try to make Cambodia change for the better but the government is bad out there. I know it’s gross and unsanitary but it’s the way how third world countries are, you know.

thanks for getting the idea to show accommodations ! this is next to the food the most important thing to figure out when traveling imho. When I think of housing, I think it very simple, I do not make many high demands and need 5 star hotel. I do not really care much for decorations or layout of the place I stay at, since I would be out and about all day, only use the housing for sleep, breakfast, quiet evenings. What matters for me specifically : I need enough outlets for plugs (charge electricity) , i need a fridge to store drinks and breakfast in, a stove or microwave is nice to have. Standard shower with enough room to wash clothes in an emergency situation. Just one comfy area with armchairs or sofas and then most importantly the sleeping area, super plus plus if the place has curtains for complete dark-out. It does not really matter what type of neighbourhood the place is in, could be midtown or quiet residency , Im cool with it as long as it is quiet at night time and they don't start banging up the place very early . It is hard to find a good place because many places with construction or shops have early activities, oh well best remember the earplugs then :D . Extra luxury for me is if I'm able to hang up wet things outside on a line and super luxury is if the place has some type of internet. I want to spend my cash on the travel and the food , instead of four walls :)

Another new channel! You're spoiling us! It's like Christmas! But seriously, this is a great idea! At first I thought how this house wasn't quite up to scratch, then I realised how the first / previous occupants must have been so wealthy to live in a place like this. There is history behind those walls. 'The fruit basket painting'. I'm starting to get an inkling of your very dry sense of humour. LOL. And finally, for that very small durian! At first I thought it was a soursop! Anyway, loving this new channel and the vlogs. Thank you Mark! Much love and God Bless to you, Ying and Micah.

Nice guided tour of a normal house in Phnom Penh. It's very similar to South Vietnam in construction style. That downstairs area near the street is typically used to store motorcycles in a Vietnamese place. Then there would be a big area for shoes. All the floors would be swept and washed on a daily basis and bare feet or house slippers would only be allowed in the upstairs areas. Cool !!

Hi, Mark. Subscribed to both new channels. This one is fantastic. Who doesn't want to know about where people stay, what the day to day things are like? Hi Mark. Love your videos. I appreciate your visit to Cambodia. Hope you had lots of fun in the country as the country is quite stressful and overbearing at times, especially when you are a foreigner as often enough, people would give you the foreigner pricing.
