I saw the coolest thing the other day. Someone living in a minivan kept things stored in a netting that was on the interior roof. It freed up so much room for them! Of course it would be good if you could find a rooftop storage thing. It is SO wonderful that you have your elder dog with you and care for him so lovingly. He is lucky to have you. Love your channel! ❤

Great car tour Things I learnt about living in a car when I lived in a car The 3 tub system makes living in a car so much easier 1 tub for food 2 tub for clothes 3 tub for everything else Plus a person needs plenty of hobbies and to be happy in their own company etc A USB bug zapper is very useful as it also has a good light as well I always kept the rear seats empty and accessed the boot from leaning from within the car 1 only kept 2 weeks clothes in the car and done laundry every week I never used to cook which meant I saved space not needing to have cooking stove and extra food I used to sleep in the front seat which suited me fine and if a person can sleep in the front seat of a car they can sleep in a convertible car which would be great fun I learnt to day trade the stockmarket whilst living in a car but very risky and not for beginners I never needed to pay to park overnight at all Living in a car is a fantastic way of life and everyone should try living in a car at some point in their life

I can relate to the life choices. Life is short and if your not tied down why not enjoy all you can. I understand some people have to do the 8-5 thing for 30 years or more than usually by that time they are too old or unhealthy to just drive off into the unknown. I told myself at 16 i was gonna gonna do what made me happy. I was not gonna take crap from some boss all day just so i could go home and be sad. So i took my ability and did what i wanted. I got to see places and enjoy all the wonders i could manage with the occasional day job that would last until i had enough. With a Music hustle i always had the option to quit any day job at any time. it felt good to tell people kiss my azz..lol.. . Now 40 years later I look back and smile. I did life my way. So what im saying is do it your way and dont let life life every treat you unkind.

I have an suv too , I took out the bottom seat cussion and I have to large mesh bags I use for my clean clothes and then it also helps prop my bed up evenly when I lay my seats dow. I have a laundry basket behing the passenger seat and I keep extra bags behing the drivers side. Then I have my two bags I use every day in the front seat. So I have a full size bed. Two mattress toppers and i also have blackout curtains & fairy lights its really cute & cozy! I could not do this full time without my full size bed. Hope this helps !! It could help create lots more space for you & the pup to strech out ! ❤

Well doggone it I didn’t even pay attention that you are way ahead of me with the roof netting! Lol! I used to own an Equinox and would have never considered it to be big enough to live in. Once upon a time, I stayed in my Lincoln Navigator and that thing was huge with space for so much. The seats were heated and there was a DVD player if I wanted to watch a movie. It was pretty comfy. I did that for 4 months. It’s nice to have total freedom to explore. Stay safe and have the time of your life!

This is super helpful as I'm considering going this route. Trying to decide between SUV, minivan, or small campervan (no desire for a massive rig that isn't incognito). I now recognize I would have to have a cargo carrier on top if choosing a SUV, but that adds wind noise and lowers fuel mileage. Thanks for the vid and keep on living happily!

I plan on putting a fan, those clip ons in my suburban. It's used vehicle but it works for me, just was watching a video on camping, and I got so many ideas. Don't worry about your vehicle, mine looks worse than yours but I have to get one of those cargo carriers off of Amazon to put most in this carrier, which I will strap down on my roof of vehicle. Ya, you have to have the water. You have mostly everything I have.

How do you stay cool in the summertime if you don't mind me asking? Perhaps you have another video on that. But I remember I had to stay half a day in my car one time here in Washington state in the summer, and it was unbearable so I had to go sit outside. I think it only reached about 78 degree outside, but it was just too much to be able and stay inside the car. Of course, I imagine if I lived in a vehicle I would have the sun shade put over the windows, and maybe a little fan blowing on me to help.
@ChristineMeachum Жыл бұрын
I really try to follow good weather so that we aren't anywhere too hot. It does get toasty some nights though. I have learned to keep Chase's hair short (It's easier to put a coat on him to warm him up than try to keep him cool) We always sleep with the windows cracked for air flow and have a fan to circulate the air. That has worked well for us so far!

You know there is another way to pursue your lifestyle more affordably: Drop down to a less modern car, but one that is large enough so you can store an electric bike inside of it, (it does not have to be much larger than a mid size SUV either) some of these Ebkes, like the WideWay brand, actually fold enough they could fit inside the SUV and give you up to 75 miles of range on a single day for your side food delivery business, (as opposed to using gasoline cars with DoorDash, etc..) unfortunately, it would be hard at first until you develop more muscle strength to life the bike in and out of the larger car, but you can do it, As far as how and where you would charge the Ebike overnight, is another solution, but it can be done even in the middle of nowhere using portable solar panels now,
