Living In Tent City - 66 Year Old Retiree Doug w/ RRSP & Pension, but can't afford Rent in CDN!

I was Attacked by Tent City Meth Addicts On Kelowna KVR Rail Trail while KSOC Security Watched! September 2, 2024, 10:03am Walk through Kelowna Tent City on KVR Rail Trail, where I meet Doug, a 66 year old retired rig worker, who chooses to temporarily live in tent city because rent is too expense in Canada. Doug lives off his pension and RRSP.

Kelowna Citizen Attacked on Kelowna's KVR Rail Trail which goes through the Tent City -a NDP government funded homeless drug use tent city shelter and Kelowna public bicycle pathway combined. I was assaulted by 3 males and 1 female. I fought for my life, getting attacked by 4 people at same time. Beating me on the ground as I try to protect myself and get away. Incident started August 29, 2024 at around 4:30pm.

This is my comments: I was just talking with a friend about every land owner has to pay garbage and sanitary infrastructure monthly; therefore, there should be san-dumps and garbage pickups. Having heard that many camps are disbanded and trashed, land reclamation done by people in hazmat suits. Can we not give some dignity back to our people. If this was a war zone, where are the tents that our tax dollars have given to other countries people? The rain and snow is coming... Pray for us all. Heartbreaking. I haven't been to Kelowna for 20 years, I'm in Ontario. I really want to build a farm for homeless seniors. Question? How many would be willing to work the farm in exchange for a roof over their heads? Curious why 10 of them wouldn't rent a flat together to be able to share a floor, bathroom and kitchen? It's what I did when I was 17.

realistically what landlord is going to rent 10 homeless in one flat. Many have mental issue, not all of them want to be under a roof. Canada had homeless 40 years, it's just got worse now for other reasons like cost of living.

@@bradkindley I understand that but I am stuck living in a 20 foot fifth wheel travel trailer on my aunts property I would love to have a house and some property of my own but when employers don't respect their employees and the fact that cost of living is so fn high and when living in a rural area to drive in any direction to find work is 45 minutes one way

Sorry, but I DIDN'T travel and stayed home and invested that money for my family. I made sure there would be no possibility we would not have enough money to live comfortably the rest of our lives. All the while investing and planning for Inflation run a muck by Criminal Governments. How much did he put into RRSP's ? Obviously not near enough. I picked a roof over my head instead of travelling around Canada or any where else for that matter. You make decisions in life that YOU will have to live with. Good luck with yours.
