Fellow 90s kid here. I found your channel recently while I was researching how to digitize my family’s Video 8 tapes. It took me a bit of time to find a good camcorder and software (OBS didn’t work for me), but I figured it out eventually. Anyway, I’m happy that I was able to preserve the footage and I’m looking forward to filming some new memories with the camcorder. Thanks for sharing your knowledge about camcorders!

I’m so happy to hear that!! Everything I’ve learned has just been through trial and error, but I’m glad I was able to help a bit with the recovering of your camcorder footage 🫶🏽

I love the 90s! I was born at the tail end of the 90s, but I do remember life was more chill and simple before the internet, and I miss that. I think we are more stressed out always being online.

It's so cool that your parents filmed so much of your life, it's especially interesting since youtube wasn't big thing back then. My parents took some videos of me and my brother when I was little but they took alot more photos. (2006 baby)😊

I was surprised as well when my mom told me she found a bunch of old tapes because we also have so many film photos/albums as well! I need to ask my dad if he was ever interested in videography/photography because it definitely seemed like it was a passion of his from the sheer amount of photos and videos.

90s baby here too 🥹 this made me tear up because my parents loved to record everything back in the day as well. This really hits different because I just had a baby 5 months ago and I’m so inspired to take more videos so my daughter can revisit her childhood when she grows up!

Loved your throwback video! You'll have to upload more on your channel very soon 😉 I'm still subscribed to your channel this day and just love the authentic modern style videos you post on your KZbin channel 🤎💫 After viewing your throwback video, it made me go back looking through my old photos of me when I was born, the toddler years, and early childhood life. Along with my sisters baby book 👶 Time flies by, but you can't forget the memories with it. That's why we have photos and VSH tapes from back in the day to help us go back to those special moments in our lives 🥹✨️ I grew up during the early 2000s period, so after the late 90s, the period when technology and cellphones became a thing along with the creation of Netfilx, even early singer songwriters like Katty Perry, Beyonce, and Lady Gaga 😜 Not to forget laptops as well 😌 Thanks for the video!

Aubrie question I’m trying to use obs but my sound doesn’t show up when I play the video and when I record it’s just the video with no audio the cord I have is 3.5 mm jack to video and a black mono plugin.

Uploading Hi8 footage as 30p? At least there is no objectionable combing or ghosting. I hope you have preserved them in 30i.

Me watching this on a snowy day. I didn’t think we were the same age. 🤣 Oh my. This trigger some good memories for me too. 😄🫶🏾 Also! The giant hamburger! Before you parent said Vegas, I instantly thought, “god that looks like Vegas” and sure enough it is Vegas! 😂

@@AudrieStorme definitely to be treasured! I don’t have a single video of my childhood so it’s amazing that you have. I hope life is treating you well!! Love these! So cool, thank you for sharing! My dad has a huge box of tapes that I want to digitize and go through, and I'm sure it will definitely get me teary eyed watching those memories again. My dad even had a specific tape for birthday celebrations and he kept adding to it.
