Well, in Dhamapada I have read about Jaina too. So you know the ,,true,, Jainism. Yes, that is the problem with Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism, not even them know what exactly their masters were trying to say, and they interpret it in their own way, otherwise there would be so much schools and sects. knowing the purpose for which God created creation is the answer to many of the problems and suspicions that many atheists repeat, The purpose of human creation, and the creation of the heavens and the earth: to be known, to be known, to be united, and to be obeyed. The Almighty said: (And I did not create the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me) Al-Dhariyat / 56. (Except that they worship) i.e., except that they acknowledge my worship, voluntarily or unwillingly. As for the intended end, it is retribution with justice, grace, reward, and punishment God, may He be exalted, does not admit people to Paradise or Hell, just because He knows that they deserve that. Rather, He will admit them to Heaven and Hell by their deeds that they actually did in their worldly life. If God Most High had created creation and entered them into His Fire, they would almost certainly have argued against God that He did not test them, and did not allow them to act. This is an argument that God Almighty wanted to refute; So He created them in this world, made intellects for them, revealed His books, and sent His messengers, all so that they would not have an argument against God on the Day of Resurrection. It clarifies what these mentioned verses and their likes in the Great Qur’an indicate that God Almighty does not punish anyone except after warning and excuses on the tongues of the Messengers, may the peace and blessings of God be upon them: His statement in many verses: that no one will enter Hell unless after the excuse and warning on the tongues of the messengers In our belief that knowing the purpose for which God created creation, and knowing that God Almighty does not torment anyone according to what He knows of Him, Glory be to Him, rather the reward for his deeds in this world, and that in this is a definitive of his argument with God, this will be the answer to the confusion in the question.

However, if you *analyze your own fictious Bible,* actually, *Jesus tried to enslave the world by his word.* But Lucifer, brought Freedom to us all, by making us understand that, *a Real God, would never, ever have human qualities* such as; jealousy, anger, hatred, egoism and being SELF - CENTERED !

And this so called god Jesus, is nothing other than a *fictional being* and an egoistic dictator, who is craving for being worshipped and praised by people. Wake up my friend. The *real Jesus was just a great man. But he's not God.* You're wasting your time believing in an imaginary god of life, and preaching false information to others.

@Vine 101 Yes, Jesus has the keys, but only in stories. In reality, *I truly RESPECT Jesus !* But I can't worship him until he reaches Moksha by Soul Meditation. The big difference between Christians and Jains, is that, *WE ARE SEEKERS !* But *Christians are BELIEVERS !* That's why we are the people living in Reality and moving on the true Way of Salvation ! Where as, you are just *believing* what's comfortable for you, and assuming that, what is taught to you is the truth. Jesus is surely *not the way to salvation,* rather he's no different from any humans who have jealousy, self - centered and self proud of himself, which are all *not the characteristics* of a loving God. So get out of your silly delusions. Become a *SEEKER !* Not a foolish blind believer. Bless you bro.. !

@Vine 101 I find the Christian faith to be uninspirational. It is intolerant and arrogant when it proclaims that is is only one way to salvation and that is through Jesus and God the father. Jainism has the concept of many faceted truths as in the story of the 6 blind men and the elephant. For sophistication of wisdom the eastern religions just leave the monotheistic Abrahamic religions in the shade. They can not hold a candle to to them. Christian prize "living in fear of God". WTF? Christian love being abused by a dietistic terrorist. This is the Stockholm Syndrome. I am turned off by all the monotheistic Abrahamic religions. They have been the most violent religions through history. The Crusades and Jihads and Yahweh, the god of ethnic cleansing, smashing the babies against the rocks as commanded by God.

There is NO creator .The universe is eternal and the earth we live in, is just a small spec in comparison. Non-Violence, Truth, Celibacy, Non-Stealing, Non-Possessiveness are few of the main beliefs. The Jain cuisine is completely vegetarian and also excludes underground vegetables such as potato, garlic, onion etc, to prevent injuring small insects and microorganisms, and also to prevent the entire plant getting uprooted and killed. There are about 4 million Jains in the world. Their aim is to achieve liberation of the soul (becoming God themselves ) by not being born again in another body. Jains believe this can beachieved through a life devoted to non-violence,compassion and the rejection of possessions. It does NOT derive from Hinduism, Budhism or any other faiths. It’s always been there since time (forever). Beside the 24 Thirthankers ( in this Era ) , 608 souls achieve Moksh every 6 months. They are all Gods - They achieve eternal peace and can know the past ,present and future all at once, but they have no desire to. As there is NO CREATOR -There is no one to evaluate your achievement or your knowledge but only yourself. The jain cosomoly is vast and not in the understanding of general science. Earth is just a smal spec in the universe. The science of today can only reach to planets and stars with a few instruments they have. But every now and then, a new planet or Stars are discovered constantly with improved instruments. Namo Loe Savva Sahunam - I bow to the Sadhus and Sadhvis

@Linda H. I think you are mixing the 2 things. Firstly, all things are predetermined. Siddhas have the full knowledge and power to know past, present and future at the same time. And your karma has actually determined your future from the past. It’s only when you involve yourself in thinking that you are in control, but not really you’re not.

Great info. But what you have written here is more the BELIEF from a 'Jain'-practitioner then a historically verifiable 'version' of Jainism. That is - this is far from what you would have been able to call a 'A whirlwind of a historically correct narrative of the Jain-faith'. By which I mean that this info you gave above are steeped in religious belief. There are (naturally) no proof of any of the 'previous' 23 Tirthankasras for ex. That said - this does in no way diminish the great, universal and revolutionary teaching that has since some 2500 years or so been handed down by the 24th Tirthankara 'Mahavira'. I do not wish to discredit your belief in any way - I just believe that what you said can very well be either be misleading or off-putting for someone either new or previously unacquainted with Jainism. Just my 2 cents.
@manishshah22642 жыл бұрын
@@MrZenGuitarist Thanks for your 2 cents. Firstly, there is enough scriptural and passed down evidence of the existence of the previous 23 Tirthankars. Secondly, I am am not here to convince or convert anyone. Just merely stating the truth what we have studied, known and experienced . But at the end, it’s each to their own. Also regarding proof, no material substances survive for a long period of time. But there are idols found dating more than 7000- 10000 years. A simple question, you knew your great grandfather for example, but did you know his? You were just told he was there. And you took that as gospel. Where was the proof that he was really there. Stories are passed down through time with some small evidence if it remains.

Actually, according to Jainism and science our human body is not made to digest meat. Evidence is that the herbivores drink water with mouth e.g. human, cow,horse, goat, etc. And carnivorous drinks water from tongue like tiger, dog, cat, etc. So therefore there is no mention of eating veg or non veg in Jainism because it is already followed by people.

If everyone person believing in Ahinsa will perish, who will stop the killers and evil-doers? Thanks for your answers.
@ardentia95722 жыл бұрын
Violence is self=defense is perfectly acceptable for lay Jains. Lay jains = Jains who have not become monks/nuns. The only caveat is that violence is the last resort when more peaceful methods of opposition will not suffice. One does not incur much sin even killing in self-defense as the intention is to protect oneself/family/nation etc. In fact, it leads to merit and is considered a good karma.
@Ded758449 ай бұрын
There are four types of violences in jainism ... For jain monks all 4 are strictly prohibited while for normal jain follower 1 is totally prohibites other three are allowed for some specific cases... Like doing violance as a soldier, violences for self defense, violences for gardening, crops, saving plants etc etc are allowed for normal jain followers.... For monks they have to make their karma totally zero so they will not do any type of violence even if they die... For more you can search in Google "types of violence in jainism"

GOD Generater Operater Destroyer Jainism never believes god in this perception Jainism believes and worships pure souls ie siddhas Once a living being achieves salvation he is imerged in other pure souls. Just as one drop merging into an ocean. They are called siddhas Liberated or those who have achieved salvation. This process of self purification is going on and on since infinity. And will go and on. Jainism believes in 6 dravyas or things that control and operate universe 1)Living being 2)Non living being (matter) 3)Dharmastikaya (ether) 4)Adhrmastikaya (again ether differently explained) 5)Space 6)Time. These 6 things and No god operates this universe. We all can achieve salvation and achieve pure soul hood . By discarding and deleting all accumaleted karmas.

Milk and dairy is not Ahimsa. Truthfully I would consume root vegetables and garlic or onions before milk. The suffering is so much more for cows and buffalo, goats, etc. Please research the dairy industry yourself. Cheers.
@manishshah22643 жыл бұрын
@@shin-ishikiri-no I agree milk with milk and dairy being wrong. The reason for not eating root vegetables is far deeper than just uprooting the whole plant. In root vegetables there are millions of tiny microscopic life forms that when put together, the enormity is the same as eating meat. This is why Jain refrain from eating root vegetables- there are also other vegetables such as aubergine which Jains do not consume- it’s what levels one goes in their beliefs not to harm others.

@abohnad4 жыл бұрын
@Rushi Integrity Im sorry but correct me if im wrong. The difference between Jainism ans Budism is this ( Universe is in Constant Change ) now Constant/Change which means Eternal/Flux. The Jainism focused more on the " eternal " part, while Budism focused more on " Changing " part. However the case, the idea of abstract eternal god is redundant. But that is not enough to deny the existing of Eternal Abstact God. Therefore, I think Jainism do not necessarily deny the existing of God. Plus how come Jainism believe in Eternal Soul ? can you elaborate to me ? and why the Buddhist deny the eternal Soul ?
@abohnad4 жыл бұрын
@Rushi Integrity Also I dont think there is a consensus agreement on the number of the eternal elements. some say 6 other say 5. correct ?
@MrSimpleankit3 жыл бұрын
No Jainism does not believe in God. It believes in infinite eternal souls. I am an eternal soul, you are an eternal soul, every living being is an eternal soul. But because of karmas, this eternal soul is attached to material forms like body. Some has body of human being ,some has body of insect ,some even trees. But through good conduct, penance, meditation,etc, all karmas are shed and soul itself becomes transcendental. So anyone can become transcendental. But only in human form the soul gets such circumstances and wisdom through which it can work towards achieving that sublime state. @@abohnad As per Jainism it is infinite souls and all are eternal. Eternal means it cannot be destroyed like matter cannot be destroyed, it only changes form . So even matter is eternal as per Jainism . Even time and space are eternal as per Jainism. So like there are infinite particles of matter all of which are eternal, there are infinite souls too all of which are eternal too. Eternal does not mean omnipresent soul. There is no concept of omnipresent soul in Jainism. It simply means it was always there in one form or other and will always be there in one form or the other.

Since nothing can come out of nothing, so the entire things in the universe must have come out of something. Moreover all sciences have come to the conclusion that the entire things in the universe must have a creator, because nothing can come out without a creator and his huge pre-planning to create. Further, the creator must have a pre-planned everything and there must be his aim to create anything in this universe. Sciences know that the entire matter is ultimately made up of one material and the energy and matter are different form of same thing and are inter-convertible. So, who is the creator, who has planned the entire things and what is this ultimate material the entire things are made up of?

That’s why there are only few Jains today. They know there’s NO creator. They don’t believe in begging to “God” for mercy, for nice things in life etc as they know “God” can’t to anything and not interested.

@@manishshah2264 - I learned years ago, that Jains believe that all that is, has ever been and ever will be, and what other religions describe as the divine, or “God” is precisely what they *are* *part* *of* and thus, is why they must conduct themselves in such elevated ways in order to live in alignment with the divine from which we are all a part of. I thought that was why, upon passing, one mustn’t ever interfere, no matter the level of suffering and pain, with another’s journey..? Or did I misunderstand? I thought Jains believe that what other religions call “God” is literally, all that is, has ever been, and will ever be. This, therefore, is the reason for which we must conduct ourselves in the most peaceful, empathetic, compassionate and overall moral and ethical ways possible. If you’re part of “God” (Universe, The Divine, Source, Base, etc.) you must always strive to never hurt what you yourself are part of, and therefore, you *are.*

@@janeofthejungle4 Hi Jane, your understanding is very deep and accurate to a degree. However let me clarify a few points. There is NO creator in Jainism. Everything evolves by itself. One cannot change the path of someone else. One may feel that they are interfering , but they will not change the other persons outcome. Also when you say "part of God", we believe all souls are god and have the ability to achieve godhood. We can also become God. That does not mean you have the power create or interfere in anyone else. To become God, it means we have been liberated from the cycle of life and death . Therefore will not be born again and also achieved eternal knowledge. You would have the ability of Knowing the past, present and future together.( It's deep). The reason why we do not want to be born again is that we have been in these cycles since time and have been enduring pain, temporary happiness etc. You have been one sense organisms to 5 sense creatures and have been through everything you can imaging in your past lives over time. Your soul is ever lasting but body is temporary.
@janeofthejungle4 Жыл бұрын
@@manishshah2264 - When I mentioned that one mustn’t interfere, I simply meant that it is forbidden to put another out of their misery, if they’re suffering. If you interfere by taking away their suffering are you not messing with the karmic flow of their own individual right? That’s how I understood it. “all souls are God” is, I think, the same as what I meant, simply said differently. It seems that there’s a high level of responsibility expected to being in human form. A responsibility which Jains seem very eager to live up to. It’s very beautiful. I very much enjoy learning about Jainism and I thank you for these clarifications.
@vbg19803 жыл бұрын
There is some contradiction to the statement that there is no God in Jainism is false. Jainism believes that all living beings have souls which coexist in nature. And all souls try to seek truth or one eternal God in course of several birth and death cycles.

knowing the purpose for which God created creation is the answer to many of the problems and suspicions that many atheists repeat, The purpose of human creation, and the creation of the heavens and the earth: to be known, to be known, to be united, and to be obeyed.

And We have certainly created you, [O Mankind], and given you [human] form. Then We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He was not of those who prostrated. [ Allah ] said, "What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?" [Satan] said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay." [ Allah ] said, "Descend from Paradise, for it is not for you to be arrogant therein. So get out; indeed, you are of the debased. [Satan] said, "Reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." [ Allah ] said, "Indeed, you are of those reprieved." [Satan] said, "Because You have put me in error, I will surely sit in wait for them on Your straight path. Then I will come to them from before them and from behind them and on their right and on their left, and You will not find most of them grateful [to You]." [ Allah ] said, "Get out of Paradise, reproached and expelled. Whoever follows you among them - I will surely fill Hell with you, all together." And "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat from wherever you will but do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers." But Satan whispered to them to make apparent to them that which was concealed from them of their private parts. He said, "Your Lord did not forbid you this tree except that you become angels or become of the immortal." And he swore [by Allah ] to them, "Indeed, I am to you from among the sincere advisors." So he made them fall, through deception. And when they tasted of the tree, their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten together over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And their Lord called to them, "Did I not forbid you from that tree and tell you that Satan is to you a clear enemy?" They said, "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers." [ Allah ] said, "Descend, being to one another enemies. And for you on the earth is a place of settlement and enjoyment for a time." He said, "Therein you will live, and therein you will die, and from it you will be brought forth." O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness - that is best. That is from the signs of Allah that perhaps they will remember. O children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show them their private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and his tribe, from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe. And when they commit an immorality, they say, "We found our fathers doing it, and Allah has ordered us to do it." Say, "Indeed, Allah does not order immorality. Do you say about Allah that which you do not know?" Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord has ordered justice and that you maintain yourselves [in worship of Him] at every place [or time] of prostration, and invoke Him, sincere to Him in religion." Just as He originated you, you will return [to life] - A group [of you] He guided, and a group deserved [to be in] error. Indeed, they had taken the devils as allies instead of Allah while they thought that they were guided

@@manishshah2264 The taxpayer has the ability, will, and choice, whether it is from the human or the jinn, and with this ability and will he believes or disbelieves, obeys or disobeys, as God Almighty said: Say the truth from your Lord, so whoever wills, let him believe, and whoever will be forgiven. And since the obligated one is able and voluntarily, he will be rewarded for his deeds, if good is good, and if evil is bad, and your Lord is not unjust to slaves: so whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it * and whoever does an atom’s work, it is worth it. Every human being feels this choice and feels it, so no one forces him to pray or go to the mosque, just as no one forces him to do the forbidden, or come to his place. And since God Almighty is the Creator, it is not surprising that He knows what His servant will do, and what his fate will be, whether happiness or misery, for He knew that, Glory be to Him, and wrote it with Him in the Preserved Tablet, and commands the King to write that, while the fetus is in his mother’s womb.
