I never really tried it before but it has crossed my mind a few times and I'm planning on trying it out soon :) the only thing I tried by now was dedicating five minutes in the morning to focusing on myself and my breath but I ended doing that very soon. So to say your video came perfectly timed for me to rethink on meditation and on the way of meditation to do and now I'm very curious and interested in trying out the love and kindness meditation. Your video was amazing, thank you so much. You're such an inspiring person to me.

P.s scientifically, meditation has been shown to decrease blood pressure, increase levels of dopamine(“happy” neurochemical), relaxes muscles and more. It’s actually legitimate but I need to practice more, don’t do it as much as I should.

It's more nuanced than that. It's more like you accept this very moment, but then take action. You take action from a place of peace, rather than a place of turmoil.

Acceptance does not mean passivity, resignation, or complacency. Acceptance helps bring peace & clarity, & then you can analyze where the problems lie & work at making a difference to improving them. It also isn’t good to fight what we can’t change, or run away from feelings we are afraid of etc. It’s best to think: “this is the way things are right now, for now”. (These are just thoughts based on notes I’ve been taking from my readings).

As Muslims we do meditation in the form of praying 5 times a day but what sets our praying technique from all other kinds of meditation is the body postures we make, I hope you could take sometime to search " Muslims prayer" and try it out using the same love and happy thoughts you already do. I believe you are going to be fascinated by the results. I also recommend that you do it wearing a very modest comfy loose clothing and also covering your hair to get more focus. Love you ♥️

Inner happiness is something that I've struggled with for many years, finding a happy place and just sit and loose myself with my thoughts is something I have tried a few times. It's hard to explain, but after my thoughts "take over" I feel a lot more connected with myself and a new perspective on not only myself, but others around me. Give it a try, it actually works wonders.

Recently I’ve been feeling much lighter with meditation. Before my subconscious mind was filled with negativity and doubt and I focused on everything I could have done and everything that went wrong. Truly focusing on positivity and bringing myself back to a place of hope when I felt dark has helped me react much more rationally than before. My overall perspective on life has begun to change- I don’t fear confrontation because I know how to acknowledge my thoughts without letting them consume me. Meditation has been the most positive change I have made in my life. It isn’t always easy to get up or push away the obsessive thoughts, but I have learned to respond in a way that helps me heal much faster

Andrei Tarkovsky the great Russian filmmaker said something I follow: "Happy is not the right word. This world is not a place where we can be happy. It wasn't created for man's happiness, though many believe this is the reason of our existence. I think we are here to fight, so that good and evil can clash within us, and good may prevail, thus enriching us spiritually." This is how I live. Sometimes I am happy sometimes I am not. When I am not I realize that that is the world we live in. Rather than happiness I seek joy. Joy is not the same thing. Joy is the deep emotion to be found in the darkest sorrow. Joy is found in relationships, which always cause pain. I don't meditate in the sense you are describing. Because it seems too self focused. I seek true relationships with others, with the world around me, with God. These things bring joy in the darkness. And I have indeed experienced darkness.

@Cristina García I meditate upon the things around me, Not in an Eastern style but in a very conscious Western style. I don't focus upon my breathing nor calming myself nor cutting down eternal stimuli. Rather just the opposite I focus upon them. That includes the plants and sounds. It includes the distractions. I want to understand. It's not about feeling better inside. It's about understanding why. And yes I do find answers. I also pray. But again I'm with Tarkovsky on the point of life. Thus suffering is just as meaningful as pleasant emotions.

Meditation is a great thing for sure! I've tried it on various apps and from different sources and I find the guided ones are the best! Those where you visualize yourself doing certain things are amazing, as well as love and kindness ones. Btw, Jay Shetty (great content creator and who used to be a monk) has around 20 days of free guided meditations on KZbin and those are definitely worth checking out 👌🏼

I love your videos.. I love that for a girl my age you have dedicated your time and energy into creating content dedicated to our inner beings and mental health and peace. I meditate (still beginner) but when it comes to affirmations and thinking happy thoughts I have learnt (from Abraham Hicks) that unless you are in a high vibration, thinking even the happiest of thoughts sends negative energy if you truly aren't feeling them. My focus is always to calm my mind, do gratitude and well wishing for others, which raises my vibration truly, and then to send out my happy thoughts and manifest, so that its energy that will bounce back into me is a positive one.

I've been meditating every morning using the stop breathe and think app for about a year, it helps to keep me grounded and composed throughout my day I notice I react to things much calmer than I did before I started meditating

I find it nourishing to start the day sitting in nature listening to uplifting news stories from podcasts like The Positive Truth and Proof Positive. These not only keep me aware of fresh and current information, they fill my mind with happy thoughts and show me new beauty regularly.

I enjoyed watching this video. I know she was not expecting a big change at the end of the week and that makes sense. Our minds are very habitual and it takes a while to break certain patterns of thinking that impact how we feel. I think meditation helps with acceptance and learning to be more in the moment which all helps with whatever you consider to be happiness.

i got familiar with meditation almost 2years ago on my trip to India. since then i have started meditating almost every day (missing some days), it s really changed my life as u mentioned more calm & peaceful. i do believe that it is necessary for everyone doing it regularly and sitting with themselves with everything materialistic (even ego and negative thoughts) away.. mind needs to be quite for some minutes in a day. meditation and doing exercise is as important as eating and breathing wish u all peace and happiness ,🌱💜

I practice some meditation in the mornings. I focus on the present moment and just be aware of the things around me. This does help me start up my day being productive and being less destructive.
