Taz seems like a genuinely lovely person, and it's not like she invented this idea, these sorts of 'challenges' are ubiquitous on KZbin. So I'm absolutely not beating up on her or singling her out as an individual, but honestly these sort of 'playing at poverty' KZbin challenges seem just totally tone deaf to me when with austerity we've got more people than ever reliant on food banks etc. These people fighting over discounted food may not be the extreme cheap skates lacking any manners/ dignity some seem to assume they are, they may just be desperate. Certainly globally for 1.8 billion people living on a pound a day isn't a 24 hour bit of KZbin entertainment. It's just their life - every single day. For me the ones that are even worse are the KZbin eating challenges. People forcing 10,000 calories down their throats to entertain their subscribers while for a substantial portion of globe, just getting enough calories in a day to survive is the challenge. Yeah I know, I'm a total kill joy, but I can't help it - these types of challenges just seem off to me.

@@Andrew-ib7gs she's actually lived a life like that during her childhood, this challenge was the first one she did i think and if you see her videos going forward she mentions how she has always been scared about money because when she was a child , she didn't have a lot and her parents did her best and she was always embarrassed as a child about it and felt guilty about it when she realised how she was wrong in being embarassed. i get where you are coming from but really she has not been this bit of privileged she is now since childhood and knows about the struggles and that comment by her was basically because she is a very anxious person and was a lot more when this video was shot as well, not to dehumanise or degrade someone. i agree she could be sensitive with her language but now she is , since the video is almost 2.5 years old now.
