I don’t remember what I took over it, but I agree that the unicorn is great. Often when I’m playing a bunch of colors I avoid 2 drops with restrictive mana requirements because usually 2 drops lose some of their luster if they can’t be consistently played on turn 2.

Your videos are great! They help a ton in getting a feel of what cards are good when drafting. Keep up the good work! Btw, that's a nice shirt. Its unusual to see people outside of Colombia rocking our soccer team shirt, but its great to know we have fans from other countries.

I’m so glad you’re enjoying my videos! I appreciate the kind comment. The jersey is actually a funny story. I went to Columbia university, and the jersey was a gift from a friend. I’m not sure if they got it for me intentionally with that in mind, but it was very fun to be on Columbia’s campus and be able to tell people I was wearing a Colombia jersey!

I appreciate your kind words. I think I did a pretty good job with not getting in my own head this time, but I also had a couple of tough plays that I was unsure about. I’m going to focus on playing a bit slower in the future so I can have more time to think and hopefully be a bit more confident about my plays in the key moments. I almost always find a good play, but the goal is to find the best play. I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos!

@@NicolaiBolas #FiveColourLaws Another great video Nicolai and a really interesting deck with some complicated stuff going on. Definitely agree that you needed to slow down by a few notches in some of these games. I appreciate the pressure of getting it for the video, but half the time you're going so fast that I'm then pausing the video to try and decide what my play would have been. You're so methodical with your picks and talking through your decisions which is really useful as a viewer, try and keep the same mindset for the gameplay. We want to be walking through your game decisions with you too as its helpful stuff. Don't worry about bashing through the games for contents sake.

@@DestroyerX2000 I don’t think my playing fast is particularly correlated with recording, I think it’s just a general thing for me to work on. If there was a play timer similar to the pick timer for the draft portion I’m sure I’d make some better plays, so I’ve been trying to work on that. I also think that after playing so much paper Magic recently and not drafting as much in the month or so leading up to the new set I needed a little time to get settled back in to the gameplay on Arena. This set is also quite complicated so I’m still learning the cards and stuff, which is another reason it’s especially important to slow down because my autopilot misses things. Seeing your misplays in this and the previous is kind of untypical for you, hope everything is alright on your end. Also, thanks a lot for the great content on Patreon. Have recently signed P and am loving the card ratings and cheat sheet. Definitely helped me a lot to design my first draft(s).

I’ve been thinking about the misplays too because it felt a bit off to me as well (though in my last couple drafts I feel so much better, so you should see improvement over the coming days as I’ve got a bunch of draft videos coming out). I think it might just be a bit of rust because towards the end of a format I don’t really draft as much. That’s one theory I had. Another is that I played a lot of paper Magic during Prerelease weekend and that got me used to playing with the physical cards, which is kind of a different part of my mind in a way. It’s hard to explain, but it happens to me with things like Chess as well where I just take a couple games to adjust to an in person Chess game if I’ve been playing online because things look and feel different. I think that mental adjustment could also be a factor. I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying my videos and the Patreon!

Yep! I’m still figuring out how to use it, and I might end up just using it for talking head style videos instead of gameplay (I want to keep my computer’s CPU in mind), but I’m excited for the development too!
