Foldable bed into a comfy couch would be game changer in this setup. The laundry and dryer should be removed and use the washing machine in the building usually on the first floor available for everyone at a small price. That way you will gain more space.

Perfect for me. Once you close the door, no one will talk to you. Another great thing about it is that it impedes you from collecting too many things. Moving away will be light and practical.

this is amazing, the similar tiny apartments shown in NYC this size do not have a washer/dryer and do not have a bathroom or sink (they have to walk down the hall to share the bathroom with neighbors), and those apartments are about $600 USD per month. This apartment in Tokyo is a real deal since Tokyo is so much more clean, beautiful and safe than NYC. Love the apartment which is so bright with a big window.😁 I would live there, wish I spoke Japanese.

The rose gardens must have smelled amazing, I loved the miniature village scenes, just my thing as I love making miniature houses. My favorite new Spider-Man is the one reading the paper, shows he’s keeping up with what’s happening in the world. Lego Spider-Man is still my favorite, there is so much history with the two of you, he is like a family member.😊

"I'm a night person" ... Yep, that's how I feel too and when I changed jobs and could no longer work late shifts 13 months ago .... I'm glad that I now work from home because then I don't have to get up until 7am when I start work at 7.40am, before I had to get up at 6am 😢😂 In my previous job I usually had late shifts starting at 4.15/4.30pm and that was a dream for me!!! Today’s trip reminded me of the visit I made to Japan in 1993, which was a cultural exchange between my vocal quartet, and one from Japan. We learned ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) in a community center like the one you visited. And I always loved trying different drinks from the vending machines! So much fun, although occasionally you got one like Frisk! 😂 Thanks for the tour, Usui, and for sharing your Spider-Man friends with us! I hope Lego Spidey enjoys his new friends. You’d better be careful, though. You may need to pay for a bigger apartment soon, or put your bed up on stilts so you have more storage space! 😂

Japanese people are minimalist which I love. You only buy things you REALLY need, instead of hoarding a lot of stuff. Rent is good with this type of place,which I don’t mind. Take care. One day I’ll go to the rose garden. We forgot to go there when we were there the last time.

You have been looking at other micro-apartments and slowing them to us. Some of the apartments you looked at were really nice, but you never showed any intent to move out of your current micro-apartment. I wondered why -- until I saw in this video the monthly rent you are paying for you current micro-apartment. It is 390,000 yen (~ 245 USD) only! If you are comfortable living in less than 8 squared meters, that monthly rent is too attractive to give up. 😄 I hope you had a nice holiday. Thanks for sharing!

I feel the same. I think it is a combination of the soothing yet energetic music, along with a view into a lifestyle and routine that is different than our own. It is helpful to have the captions rather than hearing someone speak, as it is less dissecting to me. The touches of humor are appreciated, showing excitement over an extra burger, playing with the super hero figures, and expressing dislike of the new beverage. It’s cool to see someone so far away from ourselves sharing similarities and differences in his daily life.

Happy holiday Usui. I adored the rose garden, I particularly loved the Bonsai exhibit. I knew about Bonsai trees, but have never seen the little small landscapes before, they were so creative and beautiful. I am lucky there are lots of parks in my city and they all have very unique features, none of the them are the same so I like to spend time in them and also looking arounfd different musuems and galleries. We have also just recently had a capsule toy store open too, they are lots of fun. And thank you for the review of Frisk, next time I go to the Japanese supermarket I know too avoid this drink.
