I bought a 2015 RR sport super charged in September 2020 for 50k usd from CarMax (with a 125k bumper to bumper warranty), with 54k miles... I love it, it drives great, sounds great, and feels very solid and well built. The only con is new tires were 2k USD, a new battery cost me 450, and I needed a new air strut and alternator (covered under the warranty, otherwise a total of 3k). I knew services and parts would be expensive, so I purchased this 5 years used and the car dropped in price by 60% over that time and it still looks new and current. I really do love it.

bought an amazing 2016 RRS SC V8 Dynamic for $28,000. It was a one owner from Florida (no rust) and the lady who owned it before me only drove it around 6,000 miles/year. Has 45,000 miles when I bought it. Vehicle is an absolute beast.

Appreciate your honest ownership review unlike most others who focus more on justifying their purchase. Some more details into that service bill would be welcome, just to understand what it entails. Looking forward to further updates.

I just picked up my dream RRS. A 2024 Sport Dynamic SE in Borasco Gray with the Garner Interior and I LOVE it. I did bite the bullet and pay the extra money for the extended 7 year bumper to bumper warranty for some added peace of mind, but I LOVE it. I really can’t see me driving anything else, so longs as I can keep affording to do so. Awesome vehicles.

Thanks for all your useful advice - i'm thinking about buying a disco sport HSE used 18/19 plate - you mentioned a 4k servicing bill which is quite frankly alot more than I thought it would be - was that including your tyres - do you have maybe a slightly more detailed breakdown so I can potentially know what to expect? Additionally -

Good video Daniel 👍 hope your keeping well, and the family also.do like the Range Rover , and good to hear you haven’t had any issues with it , always seem to hear reliability issues with Range Rover 🤷🏼 maybe it’s the older versions that can be iffy , anyway glad you are doing well 👍 keep up the good work.

Good vid, im currently researching my next pretental car, I’ve owned a couple Range rovers my first was a 2011 tdv8 which i loved and regretted getting rid off and was fairly economical and not that expensive but i did do some of the maintenance myself. The second was a gap car a cheeky cheaply a 2007 super charged v8 high mileage but one owner full LR history, grate engine but if you drive a lot not good on fuel, and only lasted a few months till the gear box went and before that i had the gear box serviced, i think in retrospect that gear box may of never been serviced du LR class it as life time oil (which it’s NOT). But had to get rid off. So i may aim to get a low mileage full service history one or two owned Rangy but am also considering a X5 and a few other options.

Dont be put off with daniels expensive service ,like he said he had other issues, you can get a service plan,or if your buying an approved used check to see if it comes with a plan from new,if it doesn’t,a lr main dealer service is about £800 well worth it,hope this helps, but I’ll just say iam on my 3rd rrs now,and when it’s time to change ,it wil be no 4 for sure

Have owned one of these for about a year now. Like you, it was one of those “for my wife but really for me” type purchases. Always considered myself more of a car guy but I really just love driving this thing like 90% of the time. So smooth and satisfying. Steering is surprisingly good - I actually prefer it to recent bmw and Audi setups I’ve driven. My wife also thinks it’s a bit too big, and meanwhile I’m fantasizing about getting a v8 version. Also wish ours had the black pack and roof like yours. :)

My next Suv after I’ll sell my ml350 2009 nothing less after Mercedes but only Range Rover. My suv manages around 15mpg which is like 15l per 100km . So being a petrol engine I’m always at a gas station however it is very very quick and good looking black on black

Wafting car and wafting youtuber😁. Always relaxing to watch you Daniel, none of the hype and noise of many others. I too like the idea of an SUV (Range Rover) but at the moment I’m still in the M2 comp so that ensures my funding is capped😉. You and the family take care and hope to see more ‘seasonal vlogs😂’ PS glad you kept your powder dry on the financials! I remember vividly the heat and light from the RS3 vlogs.

@@mrdanielknight My guess is they changed the belts on that service, RR say they must be changed at 2 years or 120k miles......I had mine done at 135k and 5 years old. Do be aware that the TDV6 has a weak crankshaft and is prone to snapping. Mine broke at 139k without warning and cost me £7k to have the crank replaced at an independant garrage....RR quoted £23k Some sports will go to over 200k miles without problems but I used to drive mine fairly hard with lots of sports mode use for overtaking and ragging through twisty roads....not any more, take it nice and easy and currently getting 39 mpg😀 Its a 2013 which Ive had from new and the 3rd Ive had and by far the best car I've ever owned.

Nice video, these are great cars but would advise anyone buying these to keep a few thousand back for any maintenance which can be expensive. If I spent a lot of money on repairs to a car I would be more inclined to keep rather than change the car so i feel I get my money’s worth ha ha
