Hey :) i just realized youre the perfect person to help my mini-campaign, which is: wolves and bears have cubs, baby cats are kittens. Big cats simply have very big kittens. There is a point to the linguistic change. Poachers and trophy hunters are a problem, and people are a bit less likely to harm a baby or a mother when thinking of the baby as a kitten rather than a tough cub. Similar to rescue cats getting unusual and silly names at the shelter, which increases the likelihood of them getting adopted
