Ohh God I type this with such a heavy heart. I know Matshidiso since we were in primary, I always wondered what had happened to her when we got to high school. like she says, she used to be a bubbly somebody, everyone knew her KO Kasi, she was those it girls, everyone loved her and just one day it all flipped , I started hearing stories that she's crazy and from then people would use the phrase " U Matshidiso lo ohlanyayo " mabakhuluma ngaye. 💔. Today I know her story, thanks to this show. Very educational😭

This episode made me cry so much. Matshidiso is right noone understands us. We sometimes don't know what is happening and how to control it. The highs are too high and the lows are just death. It's been years since I cut myself and I must say that medication has been helpful.

My grandmother once said to me when I was 13 "always be weary of what you say to others as it might trigger something that they are already going through, and the person happens to drop dead in front of you would you be able to live with the fact that your words let to someone dying?27 years later I still remember it like it was the other day and to this day I live by those words.

Great show as usual Lebo. I'm glad you later found a way of rephrasing the question " What was the family structure" to say "one gona le mang ko ntlung" I've observed that about 80% of the guests misunderstand this question. I would suggest that it be phrased indefinitely.

It’s one of the toughest roads as you fight the illness and life’s challenges on a daily basis. Often life’s challenges are less challenging than the illness itself, but your inner stability is what is required to overcome life’s trials. That is where the nightmare lies with mental illness and the often eventuality of substance abuse and/or suicide. Keep strong all sufferers!!!❤️❤️❤️

I can relate to this story in the fact that my mother is also diagnosed with mental health thank God after many years of struggling and all of us suffering the effects of it as a family of 4 we finally got help. It had to take me having a medical aid to finally get help, public hospitals are the worst when it comes to mental health. They could not help us at all instead they would ask us if she does not have a calling etc. They also seemed to associate mental health with being a songoma. We were so frustrated everytime that we gave up taking her to hospital even taking her to hospital was a struggle. We just had to deal with those tantrums and moods. It was such a traumatic period of our lives. I can write a long comment about this. Again I thank God that we finally got help. She is now on meds and it is managing her condition well, we are now a normal family once again after so many years of living with her in that state.
