Hello Imogen! Your channel popped up for me. Back in 2012 I began having bad stomach issues (due to paranoia and stress I put on myself for no reason). I felt extremely bloated and full after taking only a few bites of food. I also had pain right under my breast bone. I had lost so much weight. I had an endoscopy and was finally diagnosed with gastritis and GERD. Thankfully, what helped for me was antiacids (Nexium 40mg) and going to an acupuncturist. The latter was the best decision I made. Along with helping me with acupuncture, he made me a special tea that really helped. I am forever grateful for that doctor: all natural and it worked! I've been watching your videos on your stomach journey including your Day In The Life ones. I can very much relate to how you feel. Once in a while, I, too, have gas pains and bloating at night and can't sleep. And they do feel like labor pains but in a slightly lesser form. OW! I would love to see another a Day In The Life about your condition. Sending you calming, healing vibes!

So brave, as someone with 2 invisible illnesses I understand it’s so hard. I am 15 and I look up to you so much. I’m having at least two more spinal surgeries (I’ve already had 2) and I don’t know how I will get through more surgeries. I have scoliosis and arthritis and am 15 so it’s hard when barely anyone at school gets what I go through. Life is a struggle for me right now especially as I have anxiety. Thank you for being an inspiration ❤️

Thank you for sharing your story, Its nice to hear that others have been through similar things ❤️ I went into hospital when I was 21 with lots of stomach and bowel problems, I had to have 8 surgeries in 1 year. Even at that I still had to convince doctors after every surgery that there was something wrong with me. I was too young to be that sick. In the end they listened and realised my bowel had stopped working in between my surgeries, I was 21 turning 80 at that time, I could barely walk and my body had lots of horrendous complications. I still suffer with ptsd after the time i spent in hospital and the pain I experienced & I still have chronic conditions, they will never go away. You are so brave for speaking over KZbin about your chronic conditions. I struggle to even tell friends about mine. I hope you have lots of good health days and weeks ahead of you 💗 xx

I have always had anxiety for as long as I can remember from such a young age I have always been a worrier and would worry about the most smallest of things but to me the worry was so big that it would affect my whole life and stop me from doing certain things and going places because the anxiety was so strong. Having anxiety is horrible and what is worse is that unfortunately there is some people out there in the world who just don’t understand it which is a shame because living with anxiety is never easy and sometimes my anxiety would trigger me to have low moods which is a vicous cycle really and would affect my sleep and everything it is horrible. Thank you for sharing your struggles with anxiety and mental health as it is something that needs to be talked about. I also can’t imagine having the stomach condition that you have it sounds absolutely awful but thank you for sharing it with us. 💞xx

During my GCSE’s a couple of years ago I was having multiple panic attacks everyday and I didn’t understand what was happening as I had had those before but didn’t realise what it actually was as no one had made me aware of what was actually happening. My daughter is 32 and suffers with GERD and gastroparesis. Her story started very differently to yours though, when she was 15 years old. She started gagging when she ate and it got progressively worse over a short period resulting in her being sick whenever she ate. We were backwards and forwards to the doctors where she wasn’t taken seriously for the next year. Eventually her gp decided that as she had had a lot of episodes of tonsillitis around the same time, she should have her tonsils out. If she hadn’t gone for the operation that day, I dread to think how long it would have taken for her to get a diagnosis. She was taken down to theatre but brought back to the ward very quickly. Her consultant explained that when he looked down her throat, her tonsils where fine but her osophegus was still full of food from the night before when she last ate. He said he was going to come back and talk to us after he had done a bit of research as he knew what he thought it was but had never seen it in a young girl. When he came back, he explained that he thought she had achalasia and basically her osophegus wasn’t working properly. She was referred to a different hospital where she had tests and it was confirmed it was achalasia and that the top of her osophegus was as narrow as a pencil and the bottom was ‘baggy’. Further down the line she had keyhole surgery and major surgery to repair it but neither worked. The only way she can get food down her is if she drinks cola. The next move will be a feeding tube but hopefully it won’t come to that. She was also diagnosed with GERD at that time and gastroparasis about 3 years ago. She is also riddled with rheumatoid arthritis. Having said all this, your struggle seems so much greater than my daughters and I really feel for you ❤️xx

I completely understand how you felt dependent on your sleeping tablets! I take anti-depressants and i physically and mentally can't cope without them. It's a vicious circle because I may not be here today if it wasn't for them but I hope one day I can be without them. Love this videos btw xx

I don’t think a lot of schools/ universities/ colleges are well equipped or know how to support students with mental health problems/ disorders. I had diagnosed depression and anxiety and would have full on panic attacks and they told me to get a grip and ‘woman up’. There was one time I fell to the ground in the library and had a panic attack and I got told off for it... I think there 100% needs to be extra funding or extra support for any educational service to help students !

I have followed you for so long and supported you but I’ve got to say this, when you said “ I felt ugly, I felt FAT, I felt disgusting” that really made me feel some type of way, as a plus size girl I urge you to be careful with your words! This comes from a good place as I know you’re a sweetheart xxx

Hey angel! I’m sorry it made you feel that way but I was being honest of how I felt at the time and being on steroids made me feel very low and I did put on weight without me doing anything. That’s how I felt at the time and I was being honest angel xxxxx
