Yes ma’am. I have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s and am having issues with memory and feeling like my brain is in a fog. I worry about being a burden to my family but I know where I’m going.... To be with Jesus

Every man I know says, “take me out back....” Honestly you have a great attitude. When my mom was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, I asked her how she felt about that. She said, “If God wants me to have Parkinson’s then I’ll have Parkinson’s.” I hope that I can have such grace.

My friend who had LBD what we did to be "normal" was to do the fun things she liked to do! She loved food!! She loved ice cream and singing! She loved her religion! Compared to other diseases...this was slow and more managable! Also she liked her hair and nails done, I did her tweezing and makeup. Like I said before the last two weeks she went down incredibly fast. But she knew all of us!! So do what makes you happy!! Stay active!

I can tell you about our experience with the med for dementia , my mama was on it for 8 years and she got where she couldn’t swallow so we took her off at 90 . They said after that many years it probably wasn’t working . Well we did take her and we seen a change fast even my mama did. So we got back on it. . So it works for her, at 91 she still knew all family her and still lost of good memories and remember a lot better than I did at times . So be encourage she took some that y’all re taking.

I went through all this with my mother, taking care of her for 13 yrs. only she had Alzheimer's. She took both Aricept AND Namenda. Just remember, you might not notice either one of these helping but what they hopefully are doing is to "SLOW" the process down so it's worth taking both as they might be helping. My mom was diagnosed in 2000 and passed away Dec. 2016 so she had it a loooong time! She was 96 when she passed. Her psychiatrist said she lived so long with it for a few reasons...1. She was being well taken care of 2. She was extremely smart. She retired at 72 as a Sr. VP for a bank in Pasadena, Ca. LOVED her job! You are doing a great job with Jason. You are both keeping busy, which is important.

Just this evening binged on all your Living With Lewy Body Dementia videos. Was searching KZbin for LBD documentaries and the Lord showed me yours! I'm a night nurse in a Memory Care Unit in Presque Isle, Maine. Bet you know where that is! lol I sensed from your first video that you both are born again believers. So glad to have that confirmed in this video. Leslie and Jason, please keep up these informative updates. You guys are doing an amazing and much needed service for folks desperate for help and hope in dealing with dementia and particularly LBD. Jason, thank you for your service to our country. I'm so sorry you were injured in that way but so glad for God's evident grace in your life and Leslie's life and for the testimony you both are for Him! May the Lord bless you both. I shall continue watching! :-)

Jayson is so cute and funny . You make the best couple . I’ve been married for 52 years to my childhood sweetheart. He has some heart issues from agent orange in Vietnam. Some PTSD and I find that as he ages those memories are revisiting him.But his reaction to them is so different than when he was younger .and people just don’t get it . That’s ok because I got his back .those boys got a couple of good women . ( I tell him often)

I cry too, but I laugh every day! Some days are better than most, and some days are worse than most, but there's always someone who's worse off than me! I love you guys! You remind me so much of my husband and I. Notice that I didn't mention either one of your names, because I forgot them that fast. My sister, also born again, age 79, has Lewy Body. She is in Assisted Living and they have been in quarantine since Thanksgiving day - can't leave their apartments (her's is a small studio) and it's caused her to decline big time!! ;( She now has hallucinations 24/7 - visual. He will have days where he just can't focus of anything or have conversations. Praying for you family.

Hey guys ~ The video that you informed about his disease. I wasn’t sure why you were recommended and I figured it out. My husband of 35 years died unexpectedly while at work. We couldn’t get pregnant all those years ago. I’m officially a dog mom. Ray died 10/30/20, I saw him at lunch and I remember when he was leaving how good he looked. Then 2 hours later I got the call and raced to the hospital and got there right after they brought him in. He didn’t make it ~ with Covid my life got really small and I have Lupus and I’m diabetic and have a handful of other issues. Ray was going strong and he’s a builder. I’m so very lost and we got married when I was 22 and I’m now 58. They you for sharing all of your husbands issues. He is also amazing and you are awesome. You opened my heart and allowed me to focus elsewhere. My love and prayers to you and your entire family. My ginormous dogs Bella GreatDane/Black Lab and Angus is Husky/Pyrenees. Without them I don’t know where I would be. Life is fleeting and I’m grateful that he knew he was loved and I will miss him every hour or everyday. You’ve made me laugh more in your videos than I have since he died. I’ve got a huge box of books on tape ~ I would totally send them. Thanks again and I joined your daughters channel also. I’ve been binge watching your channel. You truly are a Angel as Ray is my Angel in Heaven. Thank you Melanie North North Georgia Mountains USA 🙏❤️🥰😘❤️🙏 So sorry if tmi.

My mother had Alzheimers and it was hard to see her steadily decline. I referred to it as steps down. Every 6 months she would lose something. The worst for me was when she lost her speech. I think you are both great. I too am a nurse and Jason your attitude and courage are such great examples to others on the same road or those just facing life changing diagnoses of any kind. I commend you. I am also an army brat and understand how hard it must be to leave yourself open and vulnerable on a public forum. I pray for you all and also hope I can follow your example Jason through life's challenges. Robbi from Minnesota

Our pastor developed altziemers and Bob was able to stay home until the end. Marlene actually worked outside the home and when it got to the point where Bob could not go to a day program our son went and cared for him while Marlene was not there. Nurses and care aids came in as needed. It was a kind and caring time. They watched old westerns together. By then he did not speak, but he seemed contented until he went home.

I love Jason's sense of humor and as a fellow Christian, I agree that you "choose" joy. Thank you for being open about your faith and your journey. My parents have lived with us for nine years now because my mom has what we think to be LBD and it's such a support to watch your videos.
