I know this was two years ago but thank you for this video, I’ve dealt with PPPD symptoms for years now. It all started when I was around 13-14 and had heavy dental work. Im assuming my nerves were damaged from how much was done. I’m almost 21 now, undiagnosed despite tons of testing and doctors appointments. pushing through even though it’s incredibly hard. Most medical professionals I’ve spoke to refuse to believe it’s anything more than anxiety dizziness. But this feeling is CONSTANT and it’s more of an unsteady than a dizzy. Thank you again for sharing your story, and making someone like me feel less alone (:

Pppd is for a big part also anxiety/emotional related next to the physical symptoms. It's the chicken or egg problem circle. Once you manage your anxiety and break this circle (in small steps with ups and downs) and live your life as non-anxious you will do, you will see good improvements. The more you try to get rid of it the longer it stays with you. Not easy but very doable
@HannahsHabits9 күн бұрын
Yes absolutely. What I've experienced, shared and been seeing is- the lasting affects of that stress/ anxiety/ trauma, manifested in real physical illness. So the root cause being stress, getting rid of that stress is the most important but people have also done damage somewhere, which is life altering and needs to be addressed also. Muscles re-wiring themselves, nerve damage, intestinal damage and sensitivities, stress is just one pillar when you've arrived at these PPPD symptoms and taking the WHOLE thing seriously is what is going to change this and get people help in the way they deserve. Stress is so individual and it can be really damaging to chalk it all down to stress and isolate the person, having them question their sanity. There's physicalm emotional and social at play. I've been working through all of it and my symptoms are nearly gone. I've made updated videos on this, if you'd like to check them out. Just wanted to reply I'd love everyone to be more sensitive than "You're stressed" when trying to support yourself or someone else going through this Thanks so so much for your comment and I really hope your health is good xxxx

I have been dealing with pppd for 15+ years. Went through lot’s of tests and doctors but no diagnosis. Only vestibular exercises helped. Once my dizziness got to a more acceptable level I started ballroom dancing. It has helped me tremendously. I’m still not cured and I still have to limit how much I can do a day but it’s manageable. I’m glad the medical community finally realized we have a real problem and not just in our head.
@HannahsHabits2 жыл бұрын
I cannot even imagine having it for more than 15 years. I am so sorry to hear that. I'm delighted for you that ballroom dancing works to some extent. There's still a lot of the medical community telling me it's all in my head, the majority of doctors actually but yes, at least it's more recognised now. Hope you're doing well this week. It's tough having to live so slowly or pay for normal energy expenditure. I hope there'll be a cure x

I think so too BUT what damage did that stress do to the body? My mission has been to find and heal that.. also understand the stress to manage it for future. I'm so sorry to hear you had a traumatising time. I did too, too many big things all at once, definitely influenced the impact of whatever caused this but I think giving it over to ánxiety´takes your control away. Some days you have to sit with it and that's part of healing. These symptoms I talk about in the video are so physical, I want to address both and am nearly better. I have updated videos on this topic on my channel. I actually have good days now and vertigo has changed to just headaches, I believe we'll all have a varied path to healing but gotta take control and get moving. It's too debilitating and upsetting not to. I wish you the best of luck xx

I have had pppd since I was 8 years old and I’m 22 now. I have been to more doctors then I can count and I have had MRIs, Cat scans, EEG and so much blood work. It all comes back normal. The doctors never take me seriously every time I tell them that something is seriously wrong because according to all the tests I am perfectly healthy. But I’m not and it’s so frustrating to never be taken seriously by anyone. This constant feeling of being so dizzy I can hardly move. Not being able to walk and feeling this sense of dread when an attack happens in public because you know if you take a step you are going to fall over. Everyone looks at you like you’re crazy. All my friends don’t know what to do when they are around when I am hit with an attack. Which I don’t blame them, I don’t even know what to do to help myself. The worst part is when my tongue starts to get so heavy in my mouth that I can’t even talk. My words come out so slurred and jumbled. So here I am unable to walk or talk and being absolutely terrified. It’s the worst thing I have ever experienced and I have experienced it almost every day for 14 years. I hope now that I am starting these vestibular exercises, that I will start to get better. Thank you for sharing your story.

Hi Hannah ! So, I do get a feeling of dizziness and often have nastygmus where the eyes move of their own accord to the left with the whole room turning. Now, I've dealt with that for years because it usually goes away relatively quickly and it doesn't affect me too much. Within the past month or so, I've developed a problem walking. I can't walk on smooth surfaces or even very smooth concrete without feeling like I'm going to have my feet slip out from underneath me. it's debilitating. I can usually walk on carpet or grass with little or no problems and I feel like my old self. I do have the problem with repeated lines or things moving near me increasing my dizziness. I get a lot of feeling disconnected, lightheaded, difficulty in concentrating, etc. I'm out of work and have no insurance. I spoke to Dr. Yonit Arthur on YT and she said that my symptoms sound like her patients that have PPPD. I felt like it was Mal de Disembarqment Syndrome because it feels like when I do walk that the ground was swaying underneath my feet like a rocking ship. This whole thing stinks

Wow. It seems that we have near exactly the same symptoms and start time (Dec 2020). I had been feeling "off" for a couple of years prior, but nothing terrible. Due to a hit in football, my jaw has clicked for over a decade, but must have just been pushed over the edge that day in Dec. It started with anxiety and panic attacks for absolutely no reason. Like my parasympathetic nervous system just shut off. I had weird "electrical" feels in my neck, making me feel lightheaded, unable to do physical work. About four months of that, the vertigo/balance issues blasted in. It was terrible. 2 years, 1 anti-depressant, 1 masseuse, 2 chiros, 1 ENT, 2 Dentists, 4 Neurologists, 1 Pain doc, 8 neck injections, 2 physical therapists, 2 cardiologists, MRIs, CTs, xrays, blood work, ultrasounds, and no diagnosis later, I'm still struggling with this. Constantly feel like I'm on a rocking boat, plus dozens of unwanted symptoms. Been hell, but staying strong! Wish the best in your recovery as well, as well as anyone else struggling with this!❤❤🙏🙏

Most of my PPD is coming from gastritis. When my stomach's under control my PPD is nearly non-existent. It can also start from a infection that throws off the vestibular system pretty much the way of virus throws off a computer. So I was investibular therapy to try to retrain my brain. But viruses can get deep into the vestibular system and in the nerves. That has to be treated with diet and as far as I know it's stipular therapy. An anti-inflammatory diet and the medical medium's diet and supplements are good for that. So I was in festibular therapy for many months and I'm still doing that. I also have a problem where the crystals fall out of the ear canals so I'm getting it both ways. I'm trying to correct the gastritis while doing the vestibular exercises and trying to get rid of the high inflammatory issues in my body through diet and exercise. All of this is helping. I highly recommend going to the KZbin the steady coach. Great KZbin videos on how to handle this she is an audiologist.

Greetings from Romania! After going to countless doctors and trying various therapies, I diagnosed myself with PPPD. Almost every day (since september 2020) I have sensations of floating, of falling into the void, of falling on the back or in front, heavy head and discomfort in the neck area, ringing in the ear, pressure in the head and ears, sometimes heavy walking, as if I feel that I cannot coordinate my walking well. Do your symptoms get worse when the weather changes or in autumn or spring? Or to noises, loud, disturbing sounds? When you go by car, train or swim, are you better? I don't really get dizzy then. @@mybigfatexpatlife6865 Hi! I'm much better, but the dizziness hasn't completely disappeared. From my own experience, I recommend the following: daily exercises (walking and swimming especially), walks in the mountains, at the sea, grounding (walking barefoot), hydration (3 liters of water per day), without stimulants of the nervous system (caffeine, alcohol, cigarettes), thoughtless meditation with attention to breathing, vitamins and minerals for the nervous system (Benfotiamine - B1 or complex B, alpha lipoic acid, ashwagandha, woman multivitamin from Swedish nutra), essential oils of any kind (inhalation , massage, on the head, neck, behind the ear). I also have some problems with my cervical spine, so I also took some supplements with collagen, hyaluronic acid, vitamin D and C, omega 3 and 6). I also recommend detachment. And without fear. Observation without creating scenarios. Fear, panic amplifies dizziness and panic attacks, fear of death, depression also occur. Big hugs for all of you😘❤️

Anyone else here that feels no clear swaying or dizziness, but still feel like this is the reason for all their issues? I always described my issues as vision going to quickly / delayed vision, brain overstimulation or moving images which makes me feel like im going to have a panic attack or make me feel like my brain cant handle it. When i described it like this no one in the medical/psychological world seemed to recognise it, and usually placed me under ADD. But this PPPD feels to much more accurate, which accounts for all symptoms, not just the concentration/tired/chaotic part im experiencing.

Yes! It’s like my brain is dizzy but I can’t visually see it, I can only feel it, even though I’m not actually dizzy, if that makes sense. All started after getting massages and taking anti inflammatory medication. Felt super weird, like I’d been poisoned, altered state of perception. If I’m right, it’s called derealisation. Same with my eyes, it’s like they’re moving 100 times per minute, trying to concentrate on something but never can, even though vision generally feels ok. Thankfully I feel less of the drunken dizzy feeling, and the derealisation, but I’m only half way normal. Sitting still I am fine, but when I’m walking or working, I feel wonky, a little unsteady and lightheaded.

I passed all my concussion protocols a month after my concussion and returned to practice, after my 3rd practice back, i felt very dizzy and pounding in my head. I got mri done and blood work and all came back normal. I just started PT but i dont get dizzy. I mainly feel lightheaded and almost as of im not in my body as well as neck pain. Is feeling VERY tired and neck stiffness also part of PPPD? Also i have a very bad recovery, even after a light session at the gym (soreness ,fatigue etc...) All this started after 6 months of a bad posture in front of the computer 10 hours a day while being SUPER stressed (during this period i always had my neck bent backwards and I was very tense in front of the computer almost every day). All this also create anxiety and panic attack during the pic of my symtoms .Thanks in advance for any help!

The solitary nature of "DIZZINESS" in all its many forms can't be overstressed. We may be hungry for sympathy and understanding , but who can comprehend " I'm feeling giddy this morning" and respond in the way we are hoping for?

I notice that it flares up under stress for me. Started university, for me hard. Did alot of work, and notice the stress is too much. Be sure to find hobbies you love. Drawing; climbing, hiking. And be mindfull about the symptoms. What worked the best for me after having it on and of for years is accepting my symptoms and doing a valued action. Instead of trying to get rid of things, I started to do stuff I wanted to do but never did. Because, what have I done in the end of my live if I try to get rid of this? Spent all my time and energy on things I didn't even want to spend energy on. Hope this helped anyone. Any questions can be asked, i'll be glad to answer them. Coming from someone that had a bacteria in the lungs when he was 6 and that left him with these symtms.

It's sooooo beyond frustrating cause who doesn't have stress and while it's definitely a factor to consider, who doesn't find horrible symptoms stressful? lowering stress has significantly helped me but it's not the whole picture. Even the affect of stress on the body has lasting impacts that can be treated through different remedies. Trying to rid my body of EB Virus has been really helping. I'm still not fully sure how to restore more health but I get about 2-3 days a week now that can ok-ish and that amazing in comparison, as frustrating as it still definitely is. I wonder if in 50 years they´ll look back on us and call it long covid or give it a different name. Hope you're ok today xx

Hannah, I would be really careful with Medical Medium. A lot of his ideas have been debunked and he's known to be profit-driven. Read the Vanity Fair article on him and how he approached the situation with his personal assistant.
@moonbread23348 ай бұрын
Also though, that's not to say ALL his recommendations are bad-he does draw a lot from folk medicine and eastern medicine, and of course there's thousands of years of wisdom behind those practices. But if you're interested in alternative treatments like that, I would go straight to those sources rather than trusting a white man who says he's been psychic about people's medical problems since he was a kid.
