My honest opinion I own every M3, normally my dealer rings me and asks mr mahmood when would you like book your test drive, i instantly said I’m not buying this one, today I picked up my M3, pictures don’t do this car justice, the car is a beast, front grill with the number on looks normal

I have waited for this review guys since you got the car and you did not disappoint...as a BMW M fan it’s exactly what I hoped the review would be...barring the controversial exterior looks that people are having an issue with which I love....because the look are no longer safe...it’s a hate or love affair...I happened to have loved it from the get go..but entirely respect your opinions..the dish look/taste reference was really cool...am like you Imran that am more about the tech and how a car drives and makes me feel..and less about the popularity contest!!! Really appreciate your thoughts on the new G80. I love that Oxide color and I think it might be my favorite color on offer. I feel the same way about the looks. It's a lot more important how it drives and how it makes you feel when you drive it and I don't drive a car for other people to look at. In other words I think the new G80 and G82 have it where it counts.

Great detailed Review from a real expert! Many Thanks for that!! Will very likely order the M4 comp as soon as X-Dirive is available in aventurine red or davit grey. Hope the X-Drive version will not be higher than the rear wheel drive version like it is on my current 540 X-Drive Sedan and hopefully the X-Drive will not weigh to much extra and will have less precise steering feeling

When you buy the M3 touring, I'd suggest looking at the frozen grey metallic colour as shown in the RBR's video of M Town. It looks stunning

Great work gents, really helpful, thank you 🙏. Your comments on the design are spot on - having test driven the G82 recently, I didn’t give the grille a second thought (and I hated it before I saw it). The entire design language is “aggressive” - I think it looks right for the moment but hard to tell if it will age well. I think the F82 meanwhile is a timeless beauty. (Also, love the Panerai, especially with that strap 👍)

I am also starting to accept the grille. I purchased the X3M Comp for the capability and I was unsure of the exterior and now after 1500 miles I am starting to really look forward to driving it. Now in a year or so I am going to order an M3. Great video. PS sport plus with everything turned off on the X3M seems to have a mind of its own. Never reacts the same way twice. Any ideas?

Good review video 👍🏼 I've seen a couple of M3's and a few ordinary models out on the road. I have to say, the M's look pretty good to my eyes, i even quite like the grills but still not sure about the rear, bit too 'busy'. The ordinary models aren't very nice at all. All that said, still prefered the E21 😍 but i'm old so look back fondly on the halcyon days of BMW just making the 3,5,6 and 7 series, not every car for every person.

Yep, despite initial hesitation the new grille works well on the new M3 and M4, though they look hideous on non-M versions. I think the horizontal slats make the difference.

Guys great review, just got my first f82 and after the 428I with the ZF the f82 DCT is RAW , the g series is early days have they fixed the crank hub issue in the s58

Yes S58 has a crank hub that is physically part of the crank.

now that you've spent some significant time behind the wheel of the new M3; how does the performance compare to the stock M5 (f90). As current M5 owner I'm a little concerned switching to a more agile and I think better appointed interior of the new M3 (I'm thinking carbon seats here) will only be marred by it's slightly slower acceleration (both off the lights and at speed), or is this really a non-issue and not something I'll notice. thoughts?

I for one think the g80 m3 sounds similar to the f80 m3, and when both car are stock they sound nice, and recognisable when accelerating in the distance.

Depends on the time of day, it’s more often a warmer silver than a blue-silver

@@sj24- And when the next M3 debuts the G80 will immediately look dated....the real question is whether either design is timeless. I don't dislike the G80 design, but I think F80 will better stand test of time. To my eyes, E46/E39 still look great, and a well done E92 still catches my eye.

Great video review, I will probably never be able to afford one of these could probably stretch to an F80, but heard bad things about turbo problems etc..to that end Ive booked my e92 le500 in with you guys for rod bearings, decat & stage 2 remap, in your opinion does the 92 stage 2 compare at all with the newer models in terms of driving satisfaction? Or has the e92 become an old dinosaur?

We love the E92 M3 and have our own. It's a great driving experience but can be improved even further with a few tweaks

Great video. I saw the G80 today for the first time and it looks amazing in person. I think BMW nailed it in exterior and interior design as well as the driving dynamics. And yes when I drove it my first thought was that it felt as nimble as my old M2.

I know this is not a forum for fixing car's but has anyone any idea's for removal of the f31 330d charge pipe from the intercooler. I have removed the black spring retainer and the silver clip , but I can't seem to get the pipe of the intercooler itself. Any ideas would be much appreciated thanks in advance ?.
