Switzerland ... I did it 10 years ago. Went with my own caravan, fridge, and purchased most of my food from Germany for the 2 day trip. Once we stopped at Oberalp Pass, and got a cheese plate with some meat. Absolutely delicious. I saw the prices everywhere, so did i bought there anything? No. Only the cheese plate. I slept in my own bed, enjoyed the view. Nice memories, i would not stay in a hotel at all ... Just too expensive.

What a difference. Fifty years ago, the war ended, people left to fend for themselves but now with peace no crime, the economy doing very well. On the other hand, United States facing rising crime, inflation and country going deeper in debt financing another war.
@BOO00R
@BOO00R 17 күн бұрын
man it must be fun living in a different world that makes your opinions feel valid. Crime is down compared to the last 8 years in almost every category of crime there is. Inflation is down, so things aren't going to get more expensive from now on, though high inflation from the pandemic is still affecting us, which is why you might think inflation is rising lol, kinda dumb on you but thats fine and the country isnt going into debt for wars. We've been in debt for decades and our debt hasn't gone up as high compared to the 10 years. Funding Ukraine is doing nothing to our pockets and if we were to hypothetically fund more countries, it also wouldn't put us in debt since the money that would towards them is basically nothing.
@balrogthedecimator6482
@balrogthedecimator6482 17 күн бұрын
@BOO00R in America you can't afford anything people spend thousands of dollars a month just to get by and get the lowest grade food possible on the table. In Vietnam you get to sleep in a five star hotel for the price of getting to sleep on the floor of a shared hotel in the US. Not saying that it is better to live in Vietnam but I will say they are proof we could do better.

Considering that Switzerland has low tax rates, one would have assumed that the country must have lower prices, but instead it's all more expensive xd

If you compare the text CoL in US is only 136.5% higher than in Vietnam. Vietnam‘s CoL is not 140 times lower than the US as stated in audio, but actually only 42% of the US CoL. The other way round, US CoL is 2.365 times the CoL of Vietnam.

Services in Switzerland are very expensive. But from $100 you can easily manage to buy groceries as a single Person for a week ! I know because I live here !

@@Cajek2 I don't think that it has anything to do with that. They are both Communist countries, so China is no threat to them. That said, all of Southeast Asia and South Asia is very cheap. Very beautiful, and Westerners can have an excellent standard of living, along with excellent healthcare at a fraction of what it cost in the US. I have been there over a dozen times and I am retiring there. There is a huge American expat community there, actually.

Regarding the driver that stopped after your bike "crash", it is pretty normal in that part of Europe that people would stop when you crash, or that a car that is behind you stops with their warning lights on to shield you off from any traffic that could crash into you from behind.
