I just commented basically the same thing to them yesterday on another of their videos! I live in the middle of a suburb of Oklahoma City (Moore) and the only gardening I do is flowers and herbs and peppers in pots in my backyard! But I have learned so much from them, I almost feel like I could homestead too. 😁

My mom shared your channel with me and I’m so grateful she did! My family and I moved to central MO last summer and we’re trying little-by-little to get a homestead up and running. This spring will be our first time in our married life that we’ve been able to build a permanent structure for gardening, or actually put a garden in the ground. All of our former attempts have been containers in the back yard approved by the HOA or housing office. We had the AC die last summer to the tune of $1300 repair. We’re working to declutter and purge and make our house into the home of our dreams. My honey is also trying to make sure that as we transition into the homestead lifestyle that we allow room for expansion into various businesses like agrotourism and local organic exotics. Sarah and Kevin, your story is an inspiration!!! I am a 71 year old lung cancer survivor who has managed on one lung for 4 years and I had pretty much given up on doing anything more than crocheting. However, your videos have re-energized me and given me hope that the Lord kept me around for a purpose and he sent me you! My first year really trying to garden I had a war, it was between myself and grasshoppers. Needless to say they won that year. It was so much work and no reward. I almost gave up but instead spent my winter researching and have had much success since then!

Wow. This was perfect timing. I actually just went though this doubt in my homestead. It’s my first month out here and I’m all alone and I have just struggled to get plants growing. I felt like just giving up and only doing livestock but I couldn’t work on it cause I didn’t have anyone to help.
