Pray to Jesus to give you strength to fight, but also do your part, delete Instagram, snapchat, youtube and all things that may tempt you, if you notice a girl dressing provacotive in the street look away quickly, make it a game, put points and Loses to it. The more points you get the better you feel. Fast and sacrifice your flesh, read the bible, and rebuke all the demons and legions that are trying to Tie you up with sin. God Bless you brother!

A couple nights ago, I asked the Lord why as a kid, I grew up liking the same gender and the next morning I woke up and verbally said "witches". Like, as soon as I woke up. I've never done anything like that before. I still have an attraction to men, but I stay to myself and I'm trying my best to live for the Lord. I wanna make it to Heaven to be with my Father and Jesus. It's hard knowing that I'll never have love from someone, but I'd rather make it to Heaven than go to Hell.

Alot of times satan gets to us when we are young and are in the begining stages of developing our thoughts. And at that time, is where it is decided what you would do with your future thoughts and likes. If you decided to reject the thought, at that time satan would have fled, but because you agreed with the thought that opened the door for him to come in and create a strong hold. Some of us were not even fully aware of that event, because we were real young. You are to renounce that event that you thought as a child. And Ask God for forgiveness. And nail it to the Cross, ask God to help you. Get Christian help. read the bible. Know that you have created strongholds in your mind and it may take some time for them to cease, but hold on and dont give up. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Thanks for posting your testimony, I have much respect for you. I would like to encourage you with a bible verse, Romans 6:6 'For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin - because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.' That's right buddy, if you are in Christ then you are free! You need not be enslaved by your feelings and think you will be alone for life. If Jesus has saved you and given you the holy spirit to live in you then you can truly say to yourself "I'm not a slave to this, I'm free!" I'll be praying for you.

@Dan Kitteringham: Homosexuality is everywhere in nature, just like the causes of alcoholism. It exists naturally. It occurs naturally in every aspect of plant, animal, and human existence. YOU CAN NOT GET RID OF IT! Sugar is the cause of alcoholism. It's everywhere in nature. Life thrives on it. There can be no life on earth without it. But it's highly addictive, especially if it is distilled. Therefore, one must not abuse what occurs naturally, such as sugar and homosexuality, by abusing sugar, processed or distilled, through excessive consumption, or the gay lifestyle through whoremongering. Homosexuality, like sugar, is a beautiful gift from God to humanity. But it cannot be abused as it was in the days of Jeremiah and Paul through male temple prostitution, or today through whoremongering. It is the abuse of any gift that God has given us that is bad, and that is what God condemns.

Tim W 1 Corinthians 6:9~ “Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, will inherit the kingdom of God.” ⬆️ sooo you’re telling me that God was lying when He told us this? ... God never changes! So it is not a gift from God, satan gives people the urge to practice homosexuality and some give into the urge, to that temptation. But God says that we are stronger than that and we can resist! (1 Corinthians 10:13; Psalm 46:1 ; Philippians 4:13 ). Don’t try to twist up God’s word. God knows what He is doing and what He said! We need to be reborn again to enter the kingdom of God! And homosexuals are not reborn again if they are still homosexuals. They must be strong and resist the temptation! They must endure til the end like all of us to enter God’s kingdom🙏🏽.

Seems like your God is pretty arrogant. I wouldn't want to spend eternity with a God who is this perversely interested in my mere human acceptance of his existence in a cruel world in which he didn't even make himself obvious for everyone. Honestly I don't think you can call a God who "rewards" the repentant, christian serial killer but "punishes" the innocent child (from a culture that can't possibly lead to it becoming a christian) who dies of bone cancer at the age of 6 after 2 years of agony with eternal torture (which completely eliminates the purpose of punishment: to improve) just or loving. If God really existed, wanted us to obey his law and loved us he would have made everyone believe he is real so no one has to suffer. The idea of how he seems to be playing with humanity as if his creation (which is full of unstoppes terror, pain, suffering and hate) was an experiment (for which he has no reason to execute as he would already know the outcome) is just disgusting. No child deserves such concept of God to be planted into its mind. Believe it if you want to, I respect you for trying to do what you believe is saving people from going to hell. Yet remember you have no point, all you have is a belief which hundreds of other religions equally have as well. Putting your belief higher than any persons free will, especially a vulnerable child's one is just wrong as long as you don't have any true evidence, as you as a Christian are spreading a message intolerance of so called sin which some of people have no reason to be ashamed of. Seriously, do you even consider once why the hell God cares if we eat shellfish, what we do with our hair or what we do with our genitalia?

+Dakotah O'Brien Please explain to me how gay sex causes desease, where have you learnt that? So basically by that logic it would also cause desease if a man would donate blood to another man? You can't be serious thinking gay sex CAUSES disease (not just transmits). Please. Use your basic biologic knowledge if there is any. Man your understanding of gay sex is shocking. Reason your point and argue against my blooddonation example. Why should even the most discerning homosexual know he is doing the objective wrong thing (not just the "sin" that is unsubstantiatedly defined by the bible)? Yes, you are right that even if a person is gay they have the ability to actually not have sex (choosing not to sin in that sense), unfortunately Jesus also said that you are already sinning if you look at a non-wife woman with lust. Similarly, the gay man is already sinning if he does something he can do nothing about. And for that he is supposed to repent, now that is f***** up. Your argument is invalid. Your god has a choice not to send innocents to hell for eternal punishment (which is still messed up, please make a statement on this). But apparently he is not that just but extremely arrogant, as some of his highest demands from us mere humans are to accept his existence (which we rationally have no reason for), to worship him and to repent for breaking a law he has created without substation. Don't tell me that sending an innocent early dying child that has happened to have been born in the wrong culture to eternal pubishment is what a God of Justice would do. And please tell me how gay sex causes disease.
@greyemrednus
@greyemrednus 8 жыл бұрын
+Dakotah O'Brien Yes and Mohammed claimed that only he has heard the absolute true word of god, so what makes Jesus's statement more credible? You are falling into circular reasoning here: "x is true because Jesus said so and Jesus is right because the bible sais so." Start arguing with the scientific method if you want to make any sense. You didn't even have to quote the bible to state that other religions are wrong if christianity is right, because they contradict. The question is why is christianity right, and reasoning that with base of Christianity, the belief in the truth of the bible is just closeminded. Yes I understand that people are seen as blessed that throw all their trust onto the bible in Christianity. Still it is morally questionable why the christian God requires this from us, why couldn't he just reveal his existence and his law to everyone, not just showing himself but simply making people believe in him, so even the little sick girl has the ability to avoid eternal hellfire. That would be a bit more fair, but no, he has to send the girl, Gandhi and every other innocent agnostic to hell.

+Dakotah O'Brien How does looking at nature prove your God's substance? After all the same logical fallacy can be applied to Allah: "I feel like all this must have been created by someone because it seems so amazing and beautiful, and because my holy Quran sais it was Allah therefore it must be true." Realizing that the body contains water doesn't get you any further. you see the problem here? You know what would have really made the bible at least a bit more believiable? Maybe some extraordinary knowledge like germ theory (hygiene), or an explanation of why basically everything we perceive regarding the origin of our planet points into a different direction than creation. And even if there was a creation, what makes your religion's unjustified answers more viable? And again answer me please about the gay sex causing disease issue, I want to understand how you came up with that. Also please attempt to resolve the moral dilemma of the sick child described in previous replies: How can you call such a God good, just and righteous? What are your views on the purpose of eternal punishment? Do you agree that he is arrogant, argue why. When I answer your replies I always go through each sentence to answer everything you ask, it would be nice if you could do the same in return, thanks!
@greyemrednus
@greyemrednus 8 жыл бұрын
+Gero Sundermeyer To add: When I said that extraordinary knowledge would have made the bible a bit more believable I didn't say why, just to clarify: The Bible is obviously written accordingly to its time, and because many Non-christians doubt that it is the word of god (but a book with completely man made content) it would have really given the bible something remarkably supernatural if it had something in it that made it seem like I couldn't just have been created by people of that time. What we have is a book with some contradictions and errors, although admittedly rather consistent in its 40 ("sub"-) books.

Deseo Synergy God does not condone this behavior. He tells us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44) And TRUE Christians wouldn’t do those things, True Christians are Christ-like... and Christ (if you know his character) would neverrr do those things to the lgbtq community or to ANYONE for he is the same yesterday, today and forever (KJV; Hebrews 13:8). So do not let people tear you away from eternal life and a relationship with God because they are being horrible examples of Christians. God hates when people hate others! We are suppose to LOVE! So We do not hate them, We love them soooo much that we want them to live a TRUE GREAT LIFE with their savior Jesus Christ HERE and have ETERNAL LIFE when they pass away. HOW MUCH MORE LOVING CAN WE BE? I love you so much that i want to see you go to heaven. And I am so sorry that you had a bad experience with Christianity or a bad view on it because of FAKE Christians. I, a true Christian, am telling you that we love everyone and want what is truly the best for them. We get persecuted more than ever (Mathew 5:11) but we continue to endure because we love God so much and we love people too. God bless you 🙏🏽❤️. So if you want to make your first step to Christ all you have to do is repent, turn away from your sins and turn to Christ, and I promise you that it will be the BEST decision you will ever make in your life. You will experience TRUE PEACE, TRUE JOY, AND TRUE LIFE! That void you feel time to time or maybe all the time WILL BE FILLED! So do it NOW before it is too late! Salvation doesn’t seem like a gift until it is taken away from you... it doesn’t seem like a gift until God casts you into hell for eternity and you understand what it feels like,, how horrible it is. I will pray for you. God bless 🙏🏽❤️.

Generally it is because religious beliefs are dogmatic by nature and heavily encourage subservience and obedience. Should someone question those established beliefs they are often berated, ostracized, or in some areas of the world, brutalized or killed. Naturally believers are typically the ones to initiate the negative responses from non-believers and especially in the more evangelical west, the notion of secularism is a fault that needs correction. It is this arrogance and imposition that perpetuates an intense divide between stances. Atheists are a minority group, and by virtue of that recieve FAR more scrutiny than any believer ever concievable could. Atheists, much like gay people, if simply left to their own devices, would have functioned just fine, especially in this increasingly secularized world driven by information and diversity. However, recounting the dogmatic nature of religion, those who are "different" are often prime targets for ignorant remarks born of those very beliefs. As a result you either fight fervently for your ability to think and exist freely as a human being( hence youtube comments and arguments), or you submit to the paradigm of stifled thinking and acceptance built upon a foundation of faith and no evidence.

The Bible has a lot of science all of which is correct, it is historic which has been proven countless times. But people choose to dismiss the content for no good reason, just excuses. We all know the truth but we choose to convince ourselves otherwise

Take that minute and go out and enjoy your life and experiences because once you die that's it, back to blackness, nothingness! So what a royal waste of time and completely irrational act. What are you doing!? So get out there and expirience your life while you can and stop wasting it in pointless arguments (because theres literally no point to anything lol) because according to their belief that's it! Homosexuality is not dependent on the person its a spirit a second person living its life through a person by making them think its really them. If you think its schizophrenic then you have people who are suicidal, cutters, homosexual, drug addicts, and others under that label. I was a devout Bible-believing Christian for 20 years+. Just let me know. It is a historical fact that Jesus DID live and teach and was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and people do meet him in the afterlife in the Near Death Experiences, but he didn't actually start the new guilt and grace-based religion that Paul started. The book of John completely disagrees with everything that Jesus says about himself in the four gospels that were written decades before John. Matt Bird, no gene has been found yet, despite what you have heard or read. That homosexuality is a learned behavior can be seen in nature and in all the cultures around the world. It is a Self-Evident Truth. Two same sex couples can never become one flesh. There is a way out if you want it, and it is not through therapy. I have a grandson that married another man last month. It is very sad. I personally know what took place in my grandson's life, like you believes he was born gay. He was not his parents failed him in various forms. He has attempted suicide 3 times, he doe not know that I know. One of his several partners once countered my grandson when he said homosexuals are born gay, his friend responded to him, "No, it is learned behavior." My grandson was 21 at that time and new to the gay scene, his friend and mate was 43, almost as old as his mother by a couple of years. (my daughter) My grandson faces an insurmountable challenge as both his divorced parents approve and encourage him, as well as his step-father. God bless, praying you can find your way in life.

mawgwat rodarte there was a study about this, ofc it is part learned behavior as well but there is a gene that increases the likelihood of one being born gay. while this does not make much sense in evolutionary terms, the other side of the coin is that females with that same gene are more likely to give birth to bigger amount of babies. in short it makes one more attracted to men, in both men and women.

bobby boy It's not wrong because we have a problem with it. It's wrong because our Creator says it is wrong and to stand by and say nothing is like standing by as a child is playing in the street and saying, "I would never stand in the street but that child is having so much fun and it's none of my business to tell them what to do." Obviously the kind act is to warn the child and so it is with homosexuality. We are warning gays (and straight) that God has appointed a Day in which He will judge the world in righteousness. Liars, thieves, murderers, rapists, adulterers, fornicators, homosexuals are all in danger of God's wrath, which is why we need Jesus. Jesus suffered for our sinners on the Cross and rose again defeating death. He took the punishment for ours sins. If we repent and put their trust in Jesus, God can forgive the debt.

***** Why would you assume Christians would "strictly adhere" to these laws? You are quoting from ancient Israeli civil law (where you also find commands for clothing and dietary restrictions) which was written for Israel specifically and for that nation ONLY. It expired with the demise of the Jewish civil government 2,000 years ago, so it is ignorant for you to try and attribute those laws to any other society.

bobby boy I am a Christian, I agree with you. We don't believe for many reasons that homosexuality is ok, but our God does not give us permission to force anyone or hurt anyone into our beliefs. All we can do is share our views with grace and love and show you God's love. For this is a very important matter of life in death, and Jesus Christ wants us all to live, but He will not force us. But we have a problem, the LGBT community is forcing us to do things against our beliefs. We cannot make you anything "Gay wedding related", but we can serve you food and provide you with medicine. To make you a gay wedding cake, it is to go against scripture and say go ahead. Another way to see this is, it is like making a Muslim cook you pork. A Hindu cook you beef, making peta member kill you an animal. Asking a black tailor to make you a KKK uniform. I honestly love the gay people, even though I disagree with their actions. Jesus Christ Bless you and may you read his message to you, it is way different than what you see on T.V. Jesus Christ means good for us.

Well you can say the same thing about an adult mother and an adult son, who use contraception, engage in physical acts. Would you say that incest is morally correct? Mark Spence: You know there’s a very common maxim-like saying out there that says we are to love the sinner, but we are to hate the sin. What do you think of those thoughts? Ray Comfort: I don’t think the two can be divorced from each other I think you'll agree that it sounds very much like Ray, and his god, hate gay people. It's just a sugarcoated version of the WBC claims. Absolutely shameful that people would behave like this, and worse still, think they are 'holy', 'righteous' and 'sanctified' in doing so. I guess that ties in well with the ironic joke you made about humbleness early on in the film. Do you care that gay people are four times more likely to commit suicide than heterosexuals...primarily down to the very high levels of homophobic bullying, and sanctimonious religious profiteers decreeing that they are 'sick', 'sinful', and 'handicapped' (that was a Mark Spence comment - absolutely vile)? I guess the situation in the US is better than that in Uganda though because courtesy of religious zealots like Ray, until recently, the Christian government decreed that homosexuality was punishable by death (www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/how-uganda-was-seduced-by-antigay-conservative-evangelicals-9193593.html). The team at Living Waters are contributing to making the worse a more dangerous, hateful place. All you have to do to see that this is true, is read Ray's FB page. +joeforHistruth What 'truth'? I always hear religious folk speak in knowing terms about 'truth', all claiming to have a monopoly on it, but when you ask them to define it, you get blown off with a cryptic answer that is completely subjective to the person issuing it, and is as malleable as necessary to ensure it cannot be held as a standard. For me, 'truth' is that which can be verified with facts or accords with reality. For you, 'truth' is apparently your particular interpretation of a particular holy book full of magical claims...but if I ask a direct question that could empirically be used as a standard, such as 'is a bat a bird, like your holy book says?', you will dodge it and use special pleading to avoid the fact your 'truth' means nothing. Objective truths, such as 2+2=4 are just as true and verifiable in America as they are in India, Europe, or Antartica. 'Truths' that are subjective, changeable, undefinable, unfalsifiable, improbable and irrational, aren't 'truths'. They're superstitious nonsense, and people who tout their religious 'truths' as fact, are arrogant and deluded. As Gide said... “Trust those who seek the truth but doubt those who say they have found it.”

Well, let me tell you something. My daughter was 16 and beginning to wonder if she was homosexual. She is a Christian. I had nothing to do with this, either. It was all God. I am a Christian, too, and was distressed as a Mom over this. I prayed and low and behold a friend of hers was talking to a friend of his and he was describing his perfect girl to my daughter's friend. Her friend said, 'That sounds exactly like Robin'. He introduced the two of them and they fell in love just like that. They are married now and he is a Christian, too. They are deeply in love and only 20 and 22 years old. Oh, the power of the Holy Spirit. God would not allow her to go the wrong direction and He stepped in and had her meet her husband in perfect timing. It could not have been more perfectly done. Praise God!

I know of two siblings that are the youngest of 10 siblings. The mother had them when she was in her 40s. Both of them turn out to be homosexuals when they grew up. One female, and one male. The older siblings and the parents could tell the male was different since he was little because he enjoyed going to the beauty salon and being among the women getting their hairs done. The female has admitted to knowing she was different from her friends since she could remember because she was attracted to her friends, not boys. Neither of these siblings were raised differently from the oldest. The entire family is religious. The oldest children all are heterosexuals. I say, there is something there to that claim of being “born gay”. I do understand some might use it as a free pass thinking that makes them free of sin. However, to deny biology is not wise. We use biology for the gender, and abortion arguments against unbelievers and it works all the time. Because nothing that God has made can ever overwrite Gods will. Being that the case, I say like some children are born autistic, some are born gay. Not saying is okay to be gay if you are born that way. I’m just saying it could be something went wrong in the making. Just like something goes wrong when kids has defects at birth and such things. Also, psychopaths have been proven to be born psychopaths. Isn’t that also a sin? Yet they can be born that way. It doesn’t make it less sinful. But it is something to think about.

friends, let's just say for the sake of argument that there is a God, and that he is ruler and creator of all things in existence. And since he is the one in control of his creation, he made some rules, an order of processes and functions and roles that decide how said creation works! Now let's say, just like a computer hacker, one of his rebellious rogue creations goes into that creation and lays a seed/virus that mucks things up, sets into motion a self district sequence that begins to through creation into disorder. Now let's fast forward to now, things have progressed and that virus, I.e. sin , has caused all of humanity to begin to stay from creations order and are now experiencing processes that weren't originally planned, things are becoming natural that used to be perversions of nature. It it's now natural for human beings to be and do lots of things that weren't in the original plan! So that is where Jesus Christ and the cross come in, the cross was designed as an anti virus, a war to help people born into a sinful world with sinful desires and sinful tendencies, to a place where the the spirit of God can take them and make them into what he had intended all along, his living children! And the only reason we fight back against this is because, A; many people misunderstand a imperfect translated bible, and B; people want to be able to remain "the way they were born", that's is to be able to live their lives as sinful beings and not be convicted! The whole world is broken and tainted, not just people. I was born with the tendencies to become addicted to anything that I liked, like food, video games, porn and many other things, that doesn't means I should allow myself to become and addict, God wants all people to know he doesn't look at men's actions, he didn't see their appearance, he looks at peoples hearts, which means looks at our thoughts and our desires,and wether out not we are actively living those out, or if we struggling to follow his plans, and if sin is found and we do not repent before out death, than we will be cat into he'll fire eternity, which is against his will, we were created to bee his companions, to lovingly worship him as the creator of all things! If we could just real our heads around that,and accept that we aren't the most important thing around that we weren't made so that we could be served, but so that we could serve GOD! If we could get this and accept it we would all find happiness! Being born a certain way didn't mean that way is good or right, so instead of arguing on semantics we should get to the heart of it! Accept Christ as your savior and make him Lord of your life, pressing fervently that he would help you live as he had planned from the beginning, as child of living God! Be blessed friends, to those who are still lost and to those who have accepted the Lord's salvation!

Mars Kedzior Sorry you feel that way, I can totally understand why someone would feel that way when presented with the garbage peddled here, but I'm a Christian who believes that God and the bible doesn't condemns someone's orientation but when read in it's proper historical context it's condemning behaviours such as gang rape, idolatry, lust and prostitution.

Mars Kedzior It was something that bugged me when I became a Christian, it's plainly obvious that generally (not all) Christians have treated the LGBT community shamefully and very damaging to those affected. It also hurts the church who has generally become known more for what it's against rather than what it's for. Once I began to devote some proper study to the clobber passages I began to see that it wasn't someone's orientation that was being condemned but behaviours, big difference. Sadly I don't see a lot of Jesus in churches these days but plenty of Pharisee like do as I say not as I do types. But I always have hope that'll change, those in the church that are fully accepting is small and fledgling but it's growing. I'm so sorry you've had to deal with that emotionally abusive garbage, it's totally unChristlike.

If your boss tells you not to do something that's a pretty basic rule otherwise you lose your job, don't do it. Simple as that. It's the same way with God. Don't ask "how is this wrong?" I'm pretty sure if he created the entire universe and gave you life, you have no right to say what is right and wrong. Whatever he says is right and wrong, is the ground rule for what is right or wrong. If I was born a murderer, should I give into the temptation to kill people? No, of course not, that's ridiculous. Homosexuality can be seen in the same light. Just because you have the temptation to have sexual relations with the same sex doesn't mean you should. The city of Sodom was burned to the ground with holy fire because of sexual immorality. It's stated in Leviticus that a man shall not lay with man nor beast as he lays with woman, for it is an abomination before God. I really don't know how it can be simplified any more about how homosexuality is morally wrong in the eyes of God. He says it is wrong, therefore it is wrong.

You do know that it was written in the Old Testament, originally meant for the Jews who were the chosen people of God when the law was completely different in it's time, right? Even the new testament wouldn't be for the gentiles until the apostle Paul was sent to preach to them. Oh, that's right, actually learning the christian religion would be ludicrous. It's much better to just look up random things and spew nonsense.

I don't believe it said anywhere that it was abolished, mm? I didn't see anywhere in the new testament where it said man and man, or woman and woman to be married. If I read correctly it always said man and woman. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Since never did it ever say same sex marriage was alright. Besides...if God destroyed entire city's over homosexuality, I doubt he just decided "eh, it's fine now." Since a sin will always remain a sin. Never has something been revoked as no longer being evil...one being homosexuality.

Why homosexuality should be accepted has little to do with being born that way. It has to do with the fact that it doesn't hurt anybody. If your homosexuality did hurt other people, then of course it should not be accepted, just like child molesting or bestiality should not be accepted. It doesn't matter if you were born that way. What matters is what it does to other people. Just because somebody is born that way is not the reason to accept something. But that's not the argument people are making. It's just one part of the argument. If people were able to change their sexual orientation, I don't think this would really be an issue. Who would want to be gay? Actually, I bet most gays would want to be straight (at least when they figured out they were gay, because they knew some people aren't going to accept them for being gay). But they simply can't. Of course the fact that people are born that way makes it even more obvious that it should be accepted (considering that it does no harm to other people), because gays can't do nothing to stop being gay. Also, homosexuality is not all about sex, just like heterosexuality is not all about sex. And what? Homophobia is now considered a sexual orientation? How is heterosexuality not being supported? It is the most common sexual orientation there is. Heterosexuals don't have less rights than homosexuals. Actually it's the other way around. You are talking like heterosexuals are the victims. In reality, most heterosexuals are not homophobic. This whole discussion has nothing to do with heterosexuals. It's about giving homosexuals the *same rights* as heterosexuals, not taking away heterosexual rights. And discriminating against other people should never be allowed. Well, you could say I'm discriminating against those who discriminate against other people. But that just doesn't make sense. Discrimination shouldn't exist in the first place. It's kind of the same as saying when slavery was forbidden that "now blacks have more rights than white people, because white people aren't allowed to have black slaves any more - it's against our freedom, I thought this was Murica, blablabla!" Or that black people's right somehow violate the rights of racists. No, you are allowed to state your opinion, but people are also allowed to criticize your opinion. The fact that "homophobic people were born that way" is complete BS. You are not born racist or homophobic. And even if you were, it doesn't make it right, because what you are doing is hurting other people. If you are homophobic, it hurts gays, just like being racist hurts black people. If you say bad things to me, I think I have the right to defend myself. Homophobic people say bad things to homosexuals/discriminate against them, so I think gays are allowed to defend themselves. Gays definitely don't violate the rights of anybody by just existing. It's OK not to like the "gay lifestyle" (or whatever you want to call it). But do you need to shove it down other people's throats? Discriminating against people just because of their sexual orientation is not OK. It's about your actions, not about your thoughts.

voyc4rm wldrns You have... *no* substantial evidence backing up your claims. They are made without any sort of empirical research. I mean, think about what you're saying. You're claiming sexual orientation is *taught* as if we don't all have natural sexual instincts that mature along with our bodies. Now, I don't know about you, but no one ever taught me I had to be straight when I was growing up. Not in school or at home. Yet there was never really any doubt in my mind as I went through puberty what gender I was attracted to. Women just started getting more and more interesting to me. I suspect that's how it is for most people, considering that the average gay population around the world has remained at a constant 5 to 10% for as long as we've been recording it. What's more, you simply SAY homosexuality is actually wrong at the beginning of your comment and yet never get around to telling us WHY you think it is. You just go on and on about how homosexuality is being taught as "normal". You must first establish that there is indeed something uniquely wrong with homosexuality before you can scare me with your horror stories of gay indoctrination. And I think your last stretch of your comment says it all. You are religiously motivated to oppose homosexuality. You have no physical proof, just asserted belief, and we are not required to consider your religious opinions in American society. That's the beauty of our secular system.
@MaggaraMarine
@MaggaraMarine 9 жыл бұрын
voyc4rm wldrns Have you actually done any research to back up your claims? Gay marriage has already been legal for over ten years in some countries, same with some US states. Has anything that you described happened in those countries/states? I doubt it. If something bad had happened because of it, we would have heard about it. Allowing gays to marry really changes nothing. It just allows gay couples to marry. Even in countries where gay marriage is not legal, there are plenty of openly gay couples and being gay is considered to be quite normal. Gay marriage will not change anything - it just allows the gay couples to get married. It's not like we are legalizing homosexuality - that has been legal for a long time. Oh, and also, in many countries where gay marriage is not legal, there is a civil union for homosexuals. So it's really not that far from gay marriage. Gay marriage would just give homosexuals equal rights to heterosexuals.
@MaggaraMarine

spoonabeats "If you not a christian or do not want to be one no biblical law or standard applies to you." Yes, exactly. But that's the problem with some people - they are trying to make those Biblical laws to apply to all people. "Gays shouldn't marry because Bible". That's the argument many people are making. So something should be illegal just because the Bible says so? I mean, people are free to practice their religion, but no Christian (or Muslim or whatever) law should apply to people from other religions or non-religious people. Laws that apply to everybody shouldn't be based on (just) a religion. "That said you are right. everyone deserves equal rights. black whites, gay straight. i 100% support that." That's great. I think even if something is against your values but doesn't hurt you/other people, why should it be illegal for everybody? Nobody is forcing people to do those things. Nobody is forcing people to get married with the same sex. It's only for the people who want to do that, and it has no effect on other people's lives.

spoonabeats Glad to hear you're not in favor of enforcing religious beliefs by law on people who don't practice them. I really wish more Christians could be like you in that regard. The purpose of sex is to procreate. That is its purpose. Like with eating, the purpose of eating is to process food for the body. We enjoy it, but even that must have the proper balance. People can form taste for things that are not considered foods. ex: There are cases where some people form taste for cigarette ash, wax, and other odd choices. They can't live off of these choices because their bodies can't process it. They simply enjoy the taste, but can't benefit from it. Same with sexual appetite. The purpose of sex is procreation. We can't have sex with whatever simply because we enjoy sex, or because there are not enough of the opposite sex around or we think it would feel good with something else. You must have parameters that works in accord with the body. The male body cannot even process semen on any level. Nor was the organs in question made for penetration. If that was the case, the anus would basically be a vagina. The vagina is designed perfectly without question and can process semen on every level. In homosexuality semen is a waste and the act itself is very dangerous.

What a relief. When I first saw the title, I thought, "Oh no, here we go." I thought I was going to hear you say the things I hear a lot of Christians or maybe just conservatives say about this subject. I'm a born-again Christian, I love Jesus with all of my heart. But I'm gay. I can't help it. I don't sleep with men, I have nothing to do with that lifestyle anymore, God gave me a new heart. But I'm still attracted to men. I didn't ask for this. Absolutely, yes, we are born this way. So I was waiting to hear you say what I always hear... and that is that we gay people are "mentally ill." Thank you for never saying that! Most gays will never repent. But there's hope for some! Albeit a few. And for the ones who do turn away, I know for me at least, It's hard to feel like I fit in with this community (the Church). So I appreciate the empathy.How do you share the gospel with homosexuals? The same way you do with heterosexuals. And don't tell them they're going to hell because they're gay. Tell them they'll go to hell if they die in their sins, without the forgiveness of God we get through grace by faith in Jesus.

The temptation will always be there. An alcoholic doesn't just lose the desire to drink when they quit drinking. A drug addict doesn't just lose the want for the next hit. God never promised an easy road but He did promise that He would abandon us to our on devices because if they were the case we would all be doomed. I myself have problems with swearing and had a huge problem with alcohol. I have (with Gods grace) gotten my urge to drink under control. Now I just have to bridle my tongue. Stay strong and read your bible. God bless.

I think my biggest struggle is the idea that I will never be in a relationship - I obviously cannot. I cannot marry a woman because that would be a complete lie and it will make her miserable. And I obviously cannot follow my desires because that will lead to sin. So the only alternative is never having a soul-mate. It feels like a curse which I will never be rid of. This is why I get annoyed at many Christian brothers and sisters - not because I disagree with them but because they cannot begin to fathom the soulful agony a person like us feels when we realise we'll be alone and there will never be a wedding, or children, or a big family, or any of the wonderful things they take for granted. One day our parents will pass away, our siblings (if we have them, which I don't) will move away and have their own families, and we will remain alone, living a life devoid of anyone to share moments with. Even if you have friends, you'll always be second, third, fourth. Never the one; the most important person they can rely on. And this is why anyone comparing it to alcoholism or any other addiction is way off the mark - those who suffer from such issues can still have all those wonderful things if they are attracted to women. Our only single hope is that maybe... possibly... there's a slim chance that God has some sort of a bigger gift for us to make up for the loneliness of our existence.

I have taught gender studies course in two major universities for the past 20 years. The mainstream text I use (Gendered Lives by Fixmer-Oraiz & Wood) contains a chapter on the development of gender identity. They explain 9 mainstream theories from Psychology, Sociology, Social Psychology and Communication that posit the mechanisms of gender identity development. One theory discusses biology. Eight of the theories look at the effects of social interactions. The biological explanation is the shortest section of the chapter, merely pointing at twin studies, but unable to directly identify the root of any correlations. I asked a gay colleague of mine (sociologist) about the current research, and she told me that they have stopped looking for genetic causes (born that way) and are simply fighting for civil rights. And as a Christian, should I not befriend and treat every person with respect? ... offer jobs, housing and every other benefit of civil society? I assign my Senior level class to write an introspective essay that describes which of those 9 theories played the biggest role in their gender identity formation. I take care to explain each theory, not dissing or preferring any of them. In 20 years (600-700 students), not one has cited the genetic theory as playing a significant role in their lives! Not one! All have cited two or three of the social science theories that look at upbringing, social construction of masculinity or femininity, influence of social groups. The textbook does NOT discuss sexual abuse at the hands of an adult. Seems that none of my colleagues want to delve into the possibility that trauma bends the personality or desires in some fashion-rape, physical or verbal abuse by parents, social ostracizing and bullying of the gentle boy or the tough girl from peer groups, date rape. Do people think such trauma make no difference to identity development in a young person? Common sense says otherwise. Apparently, Lady Gaga's song is a more accepted "epistemic resource" (source of truth) than the research done by my colleagues in the world's university system. If I had applied research methods to this data set, gaining IRB compliance for a content analysis of these 600-700 essays, I am certain that no mainstream academic journal would publish it, and that I'd run the risk of being dismissed from my position.

If you struggle with the lies say this: I confess I am not a homosexual. I am a straight man. I love women and I reject any and all forms of homsoexuality. Devil leave me right now in Jesus name. If you struggle with those lies confess this.

There are children of 4 or 5 years of age that the boy likes to play with dolls, the girl with boytoy's, finding out later they are homosexuals. Question to Ray: Ray, those children are not even thinking about fornicating. How do you explain your statement making a choice regarding fornicating? Thanks for a answer.

I know this video is about something specific, but i am sure that if we got away from homosexuality for a second we would see that they are guilty of other things as well, not just homosexuality, but it is also my position that to condemn them is not our right anyway. I will not argue this only to say, when a woman was about to be stoned was it not said "let he who be without sin cast the first stone." I think, and this part i will argue with people it was put perfectly. I think those who are for homosexuality just saw this as another group bashing homosexuality, but i listened to the whole thing, and i think they are right, we have a propensity for a lot of things, homosexuals may have been born that way, but they obviously choose not to fight against that drive. I also think that as people, including priests, don't have the right to interpret the bible. I think the more we keep allowing this thought of "well i was born that way." purposely make it ok to do as one will. Soon it will be found, as it was pointed out in this video, " that people have the desire for children." well, that being the case does it make it ok? Personally, show me all your scientific evidence that they were born that way, that doesn't prove that they don't have the ability to fight against it if they choose. If we look at the animal kingdom, for instance, they kill, rape, and do all sorts of things, does it then make it ok that we do the same thing? i mean according to science we are no better than animals. So then should we just then give in to these carnal needs?

All im saying is " I was born that way" is no good excuse. I was born in a wheelchair, is it then ok that I sit around and do nothing, that I just accept my fate as a person and that's that? Or should I be like those who not just fight against but also embrace it like, and I know I will catch flak for this, but like those who are still stuck on slavery, should I then be like them and go around saying, "Oh ya, well my people were locked away, or even killed during birth." should I start acting like that? I don't agree with heterosexuals out side of marriage, I am guilty of it too. I just believe that giving in to any of your desires is wrong. I mean bedding a woman that you have only known for a few hours?

dynamitecrip So are you saying that you should take personal responsibility for who you are? Absolutely, but what has this to do with homosexuality? This "outside of marriage" thing is also at the crux of the issue. Some religionists cite this, knowing full well that homosexuals can't (couldn't) get married, so it all become a vicious cycle of 'sin'. I think sex should be enjoyed in a *healthy* manner, whatever the genders and sexualities involved regardless of whether it's within the confines of a marriage or not. To each their own, and no one is perfect.

In a "HEALTHY" manner, what is a "healthy" manner? In my opinion, things have gotten so bad that a handshake has more meaning than sex does. Now, how does that happen?

I just bought Jesus in red and I am looking forward to meditating on it day and night. I have been saved and have repented fron my sins but struggle with hating my brother because I get angry with my bf family and my own family. I pray that I can trust in Jesus and find some answers on how to let go.
