Turda Mariana yes, that was me 40 years ago, I was saved at age 32 and now am 64 years old. I was believing the lies of New Age Movement and the Lord sent someone to me that stopped me in my tracks. My eyes were opened, I battled demons for several years after my conversion. The spirits that were “love and light” showed their true colours and they were black and grey and sickly green and red with anger and bloodshed. Jesus was not God. There are several ways to tell. He wrongly came up with the idea of eternal punishment/torture. Hell was not even a concept in scripture until Jesus allegedly came up with it. Plus, eternal punishment for a finite crime is unethical. Also, being God, omniscient, and compassionate, he would have taught Germ Theory to everyone in order to save lives and prevent suffering through illness. To the contrary, he let his disciples eat without washing their hands first. Matthew 15 : 1-2: 1 Then some Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, 2 “Why do Your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They do not wash their hands when they eat.”

Whatever you think you are born as is still not relevant to the teachings in the bible. It is your actions that define you. There's no sin about being "born gay" but there's only sin about acting upon it. Just like a person predisposed to be straight can never be involved in a relationship. But it's not really my duty to sit here and tell people everything they did wrong, most of them already know. Once they understand the goodness and free gift of salvation, there's only a desire to do the right thing for their creator.

Survival of the fittest includes the survival of populations, not just individuals. For groups of people to survive, it makes evolutionary sense that gays helped the group by doing things such as staying behind with the women while other men went out hunting. The men probably trusted them to stay behind since they wouldn't be interested in having sex with their women. Perhaps they helped defend the women and children against enemies or predatory animals. Or a percentage of people being gay could be natures way to prevent overpopulation.

Hi Ray, of course you are not perfect, but you are reaching a lot of folks. Thank you for what you are doing though, Can I offer feedback? It seems you are rushing sometimes, like you are late for something. Some are more lost than others. With the ones really lost in darkness, slow down even more and TEMPORARILY meet them where they are and slowly work with them 'upward.' Try to relate with their humanness more without condoning it. Of course we want to impart the truth, but your expectations with the really lost perhaps need to be adjusted. Four minutes is just not enough time, and if you have an unrealistic expectation, you can come across too fast/too strong and your efforts can actually backfire. I like when you pepper your approach with your background before coming to Christ. Take some of the intensity off of them and pepper it with how you used to be so they can take a breath and also see you were just like them but now you are better off for eternity. This causes them to relax and open up to you. You will be less likely to get into that 'back and forth' with them wherein they feel 'attacked' and get defensive and 'shut down. Gabe gives full credit to Jesus' teachings. People are upset because they search to justify their sins. Sometimes he has to shout because people close their ears to the Word of God. He does not always speak loudly but with softer tones as he discusses the scriptures for students interested in the learning about the message of Jesus. I like what he is doing and have seen people touched by the message of our Lord that Gabe is preaching.

We’ve bought into the culture of “don’t judge me,” the lie that to form any opinion, positive or negative, about the actions of another, is wrong. While we are never called to condemn or hate another person, we cannot throw all sense of moral judgment out the window because we’re afraid of coming across as intolerant. Peter Ollerenshaw I am not putting words in your mouth and I would appreciate if you would extend the same courtesy. I cannot speak for other Christians or those that claim to be Christians because they believe in God. However, I do know that the Christians that I have fellowship have the same view on marriage and divorce as I which is a biblical view. Marriage is a commitment for a lifelong union (for better or worse). Despite the divorce rate in the church, there are many churches that oppose divorce (as mine is) and will no longer allow those that take part in divorce to hold positions in the church that they may have held prior. Do they turn those people away? No. They don't turn any (liars, idolators, homosexuals, adulterers, etc.) away from hearing the gospel. They simply don't let them hold any positions of leadership. You took my comment totally out of context. You stated that Christians don't protest divorce which isn't true. I responded without elaborating because I thought it was self-explanatory, but I was wrong. What I should have said was that you don't see throngs of Christians protesting against divorcees in public because it is not being flaunted and demanded to be accepted on every level lest one be accused of committing a "hate crime." I could expand on this, but I think you get the gist whether you agree or not.

***** okay - well I'm highlighting the issue of the faith at it's core. The Bible says a lot, very close to the "anti-gay" message in the old testament there are verses about not eating shell fish or wearing mixed cloth. The issue I mentioned is cherry picking an agenda that suits Christians' personal homophobic dispositions. Homosexuals have lived through years sickening state enforced persecution and still do today. Hence why they have "gay pride" events, it's a statement, a middle finger to those who despise them and who seek to curb the equal freedoms that they are entitled to as human beings. Often, religion is the cause of this hate. Which is why we go back to the main point - the teachings of the Bible are vague at best and if you seek to enforce the anti-gay message of the old testament - you have to take everything else, ie: sexual inequality, racism, genocide, slavery and rape etc. The argument you're pushing is flawed at its very foundation. So yes, you're right in one thing - we don't agree.
