Buy your faucets or any plumbing fixtures from a plumbing supply place. They are made better with actual metal parts than plastic like most big box stores. And you might be able to get a military discount. It never hurts to ask.

I helped my daughter plan an ikea kitchen with Axstad doors and it looked awesome. She did the cabinets to the ceiling and they had some really cool and efficient corner cabinets with pull out racks and lazy susans that we loved, as well as really useful drawers. She did a range hood over the range (put ikea microwave in a cabinet) and got fixtures and countertop elsewhere. I can't wait to see your finished kitchen - it looks great in the plan!

I agree that the brass and gold fixtures will go out of style quickly. I went with brushed nickel in our new house because it is classic. Even with the traffic it was probably nice to get out of the construction for a day.

I love IKEA. I live in Florida too. If you didn’t know, Jax has an IKEA too. It’s newer and you don’t have to deal with I4 and the horrible traffic of Orlando. It’s also one story and huge. I love spending hours there. Can not wait to see your finished kitchen.

Wow used to live in Orlando I can't believe I-4 was that backed up, I know I-75 gets backed up I haven't been down there in a couple years, but I do miss going to Ikea not one near me now in N. Florida. when i went to Ikea I'd take the round about way and avoid I-4 same with Disney always went back way but of course when you've lived there awhile you learn. Your plans sound good for the layout.

Yes I-4 is a nightmare, it takes us 4 hours to get to Orlando. Love the cabinets you picked. Can't wait to see it all come together. We have an Ikea in Tampa and that's the close's one for us. Freya is so adorable.

The closest Ikea to me is 4 hours away 😕 One room apartments = efficiency My dog's name is "Bailey," because he is the color of "Bailey's Irish Cream." My friend calls him "cream." You live in Florida, why wouldn't you get real plants? They add oxygen to your space and you can see them grow, produce "babies" that you can re-pot for sharing or add to your collection.

IN the spring through fall, i have 5 maple trees in my backyard and the provide shade to the entire back if my house, which makes my outdoor living space wonderful. Try palm trees, ferns and Lilly of Peace. They are very easy to grow.

I’m sorry if I missed you saying it but are bringing the fridge all the way out to the switch by the sliding door? That way you don’t lose all the space and you can gain more counter space for prepping. Love love the progress 😍😍😍

@@livingwithcambriea oh ok… perfect! I have another idea 💡 What do you think about adding floor to ceiling cabinets maybe a desk/home station on the other wall of the dining table. Maybe cabinets on each side and a desk in the middle for your central hub station. It can be for storage on one side for mops broom and then on the other side kitchen overflow.

Check out Lowe’s or Home Depot for counters. We used them for our kitchen refresh and then the full blown Reno. I put in a while counter just like the one you showed but from Lowe’s and I think it was cheaper which is why we got it there and I love it.

Love my Ikea kitchen! Paying for measuring is worth it. Keep in mind that cabinets are deeper than typical cabinets. I'm 5'5" and need a stool. It's looking good girl

Hi sweetie. I was watching your latest video where you were cleaning up the floors and putting down your new rug in the kitchen/dining room area. I thought you might like to know about a new product called "Ruby Sliders". They fit on the bottom of any legs of furniture. Because you have that beautiful new flooring I thought you might be able to use them on the chairs in the dining room. Let me know what you think. I always learned that you never put a hot dishwasher right next to a fridge. The heat from the dishwasher is bad for the working of your fridge. That is why you never see it in any house. Just a thought. 😊 Irma from the Netherlands

Love how all the babies, fur babies included, came out to say bye bye 🥰 IKEA is so overwhelming and my goal is always to get in and out but it’s a giant multi floor maze. I like to go as soon as they open on a week day. On the weekends, people act like it’s Disney and the check out lines take forever. My feet are usually hurting from walking miles (will clock it using my Fitbit next time) and I’m tired and cranky by the time I get to the register. They always get me for at least $100. The rug in that nursery was so cute though.

Cambria, I placed an order for delivery to Daytona Beach from Orlando for a large order for decor and bedding and it was only around $10 delivery about 4 months ago. I couldn’t drive to Ikea and home for that amount.

I enjoyed the Ikea store tour. Your kitchen looks so much better without that soffet. We rent, only the cabinets above the refrigerator and stove go to the ceiling. It drives me nuts. I like everything uniform.
