MI RE Adventures, not sure if i seen it wrong but take a look at your video around 2:00 -2:04. I thought i saw a crack in the arm. Take a look because just incase it was might want to check it out.

Good eye!! Went out to double check it and it is not broken at all just a part that comes off (welded on) right at that point. Such a quick clip of that, nice catch on your end.

how often do you recommend greasing these? I greased mine yesterday but after watching your vid realize I missed a few. I had no idea how many there were, I was just looking for them. Probably should've washed it first ,lol
@DirtyJakTheDustyBean4 жыл бұрын
We do em whenever the machines get squeaky, after a wet ride or when it has been a few hundred miles.

Agree. Wasn't sure how you get the 2 in back which are close to the metal...hard to get fitting on it without running into metal.
@DirtyJakTheDustyBean Жыл бұрын
We have a 90 degree grease gun fitting for some of the tough spots close to metal

I believe there is another zerk (20) on the shifter, from the right side of machine

Great video to get out there! I need to start doing up some service videos for the Sportsman...though once I actually do the work I realize I didn't take any video. LOL.
@DirtyJakTheDustyBean6 жыл бұрын
I have a few more to post, not the best at it but figure if I can do the work most anyone can. Saves some pretty good money over the long haul even more when you have more than one to keep up with.
@NorthCountryBoyz6 жыл бұрын
MI RE Adventures I completely agree there! I try to do most of my work but sometimes I just don’t have the “time” so if it’s not basic I ship it off. Which definitely gets silly expensive! 👎🏼

The extension for it made it a lot easier

Thanks for tuning in! They went to automotive grade bushings at some point so you may not have them! Enjoy!

What about the prop shaft? Cant imagine that was easy
@DirtyJakTheDustyBean Жыл бұрын
The prop shaft was a little tough but not as tough as the top front were. The top front got a lot easier once we got the extension

I’m told my 2024 sportsman 1000 has No grease fittings … supposedly “sealed bushings”… doesn’t exactly put a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart of reliability.

It seems most of the newer/new atvs are going this route. Our newest machines did as well and so far have been great. The Polaris 1000 was kinda a pain with getting to a few grease locations so hopefully these non grease machines are a lot easier!
@crazyflyboy304 жыл бұрын
I got now I can grease my Sportsman XP 1000 in just a few minutes with it sitting on the ground and still can slide under to do the prop shaft. And don't forget about the wheel bearings , use a 44 mm EPI EX GREASER for that.

crazyflyboy30 I have a 2019 cant find front prop shaft fitting
@crazyflyboy304 жыл бұрын
@@themusicman630 it's only one on the yoke that slides on the front out put shaft coming out front side of the transmission and to find it must slide under the right side and look at the yoke on the driveshaft then be careful because you must have the 4 wheeler in Neutral to roll back or forward to get the grease fitting pointing straight down then put it in Park and then grease it

Front upper control arms suck ! Doesn't look like Polaris has improved that from my 2015.
