Phair's Exile in Guyville still holds up today. Between her & Harvey's Dry released within a year of each other were played all the time back in the early 90s at my house.

I dig this lady. 😂 she was fun to listen to in her day. I’m glad she still has a heart and didn’t get destroyed by the negative side of show business.

This woman’s albums were my map for navigating girlhood and teenage years and eventually womanhood. Truly. I didn’t have women to watch growing up but I had them to listen to and I am so grateful to Liz Phair and her art.

At the Filmore in San Francisco, I got a picture with Liz Phair, outside on sidewalk of Geary Blvd as the load out was happening after the sold out show. Liz Phair greeted the fans and posed for photographers and signed autographs. A decade later, I attended a new book signing Liz Phair did for her nonfiction book of memories. Liz Phair is multi talented artist, Liz is a talented song writer, a great 🎸 guitarist, a wonderful author, and a loving mother.

The coolest and most beautiful woman to ever pick up a guitar. Simply great.

Her phrasing and lyricism were what I liked about her especially on the first two albums. There was nothing that sounded like her musically or vocally.

Imagine if Glen Danzig were considered confessional. Just another unspoken rule people put on female artists that it’s long time doing away with.

I like her and her albums but I don't get why she didn't want to get as famous as say Alanis in the mid 90s but like around 2003 she tried to sound like Avril Lavigne?

Because she had a kid and needed the money to take care of him.
