This is my review of Lizard Skins Hockey stick grips. These are a solid all around option.

Late to the party here, but I've been looking to start using a grip other than regular hockey tape but would like to keep my custom ribbing pattern. Looks like this could be the answer!

This or tennis grips, which are cheaper but less durable.

I screwed mine up first try. Its super short i overlapped too much and it too squishy.

Do you think this would work more spread out to add grip for the bottom hand? I got a Warrior Alpha DX and even though it is grip version it has nowhere near the grip of any grip stick I’ve ever had. All other options that I know of to add grip to a shaft wear your palms, like polarfiber grit type spray, or adding tack to your shaft with inside out hockey tape (never done that but would assume it would gum up your palms). I’ve always used Tacki Mac never used lizard skins so not sure if it would stay on the lower shaft

Sorry for the late reply. This could add grip to the lower part of your stick. But I would be worried with the sides peeling up on you when you tried to move your hands. It basically needs to be layered over itself to not peel off. I would look for a spray and try that before adding this to the bottom tbh. I know Blue Sports makes a grip spray, they asked me to review it but I unfortunately don't have a stick to really use it on. www.blue-sports.com/product/blue-sports-spray-grip/

Nice review. Overall, I agree with your comments on the value you get at their price point. I’ve become a big fan of Lizard Skin grips myself. I had a similar issue with the butt end of the stick when I didn’t have the end cap. I found that if I put a piece or two of hockey tape over the butt end and then put the lizard skin over that, it held up really well and didn’t have that issue of caving in. Quick question… how did you do the knob on the stick with the grip tape????

You just make it with normal tape first, then put the Lizard Skin tight overtop of it.

They are very easy on palms.

No, that is a huge benefit of these is that they are much easier on gloves than tape.

Lizard skin is definitely more of a baseball brand but yeah I mean they’re really nice

RJtoodrip, they make them for lacrosse, baseball and bike handles

I use the baseball version on my kid's sticks, which is slightly padded.
