Lara is legendary. And well deserved. How about a return to Fauozia? She didn't get a chance to sing with Dimash on his return to this summer's Singer2024. Dimash sang with American R&B singer, Chanté Moore. And Faouzia sang with another previous competitor, well know Chinese artist, Jason Zhang. Unfortunately, all the performances until the finale were covers, but they were live, and had excellent Orchestral accompaniment. Faouzia did a lovely cover of Sting's 1999 "Desert Rose" and a self accompanied version of Bruno Mars' "Grenade". Hmm?

The woman she dedicates this to was killed by her abusive husband while “authorities” did nothing. Lara also did an official video that is very difficult to watch,but very important to see. The pictures being shown behind her are from that video.Lara Fabian brings life’s pain to us by singing it and brings healing as well as joy! ❤ kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnfLZGh8pNRseaMsi=eSG0UMcH1hnextcn

I am so very taken by this song and the performance of the great Lara Fabian...........there are many songs she has in her repertoire but two of my favorites are "parce que tu pars" ( roughly 'before you leave' ) and " I am a wa " ( "wa" is a kind of soul being ). Thank you for another fabulous Lara reaction.....she is incredible !

Lara Fabian is, in my opinion, the most incredible female vocalist. Please accept that this is a biased comment. Whether soft & breathy or strong & vibrant, her voice conveys pain, grief, and strength. She embodies the power of these emotions. I believe the images behind her are from the tragedy about which she’s singing - the all-too-common reality of a woman being killed by a male who confuses control with love. Thank you for another analysis/reaction for this most remarkable talent.
@Francesco71rm22 күн бұрын
That's one of the saddest song of Lara, talking about pain, abusive relationships , murders against women. She sings in Spanish "Dejalo ir, amor no tiene". in English means "Let him go, this is not love " talking to women involved in abusive relationships . If you watch the official video.. It's really sad and hard. She gives hopes then, talking about problems, sharing pain, dreams and understanding, it could give a solution. ❤

Lara is a blessing to the musical humanity, she is the only motivation why I listen to pop music and yes, she uses all the technical skills in every sentence. And anyway, it doesn't matter if she is acting (because she is also an actress) or living the song (as I believe), how many singers do you know that involve you, move you and keep you glued to the screen for the whole duration of the song? Thanks for the comment, especially for the harmony part. 👍

Some additional info about Dr Zhivago's album: - Dr Zhivago is a famous novel by russian writer Boris Pasternak, it became a spectacular movie in 1965 , directed by David Lean, with Omar Sharif and Julie Christie playing the main characters: Doctor Youri Jivago and Lara Antipova. - This movie is the proof Lara Fabian was tied to Russia from day 1: the mother of Lara Fabian was an absolute fan of this movie and gave her daughter this first name because of it. - Lara explained in an interview how the album was created : * Starting from mid 2000s, Lara started to include Moscow on her tours. * After one concert in Moscow, she saw Igor Krutoy who came backstage to congratulate her. He was with 2 men carrying 2 huge flower bouquets. * In one of the bouquets, there was a CD, a CD of new musics composed by Igor. And he said: "if you have the chance to listen to it, I would like to hear your opinion" * She listened to it, liked it very very much and it inspired to write lyrics in different languages. She wrote these within 2 weeks. * So she called back Igor and announced it "OK, I've finished the songs". He asked :"What are you talking about?" * She replied: "You asked me to listen, it's very beautiful and I see where you are going , I understand why you written these for me, so I've written the texts. And I want this album to be titled Mademoiselle Zhivago." * They recorded all the songs in Studio within 2 months * At the end of the studio recording, Igor said: "you know, this could be a complete movie, about the lives of different women across the history. Instead of making music videos, let's create a complete movie. I will ask my friend Alan Badoev, to create the story connecting the songs" * It was a great success with more than 800,000 records sold in russia and eastern europe (huge numbers there). A song composed by Igor Krutoy and with lyrics written by Lara herself. Lara had been living for about one year in Spain, in Marbella region, when she had been shocked by a scandal where a beaten woman died not being heard and protected by the local justice and police. This scandal led Spain to change their culture wrt to beaten women and become one of the most advanced countries regarding the protection of these women. The music video of this song is a must-see, masterpiece acting from Lara, very realistic and an impressive denunciation of home violence. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpeakJRmeNaag5Ifeature=shared

Lara is a lip-syncing/miming the song in this instance ..stick to the genuinely live performances Igor Krutoy is crafty when it comes to pulling off these heavily produced, intricately staged deceptions. Example being here: In this particular show/concert the Russian Maestro has interwoven true live performances with some of the prerecorded-for-playback variety. Another devious touch: Sometimes the musicians are really playing their instruments in time while only the vocal is "faked" on other occasions the entire performance is mimed , music and all.

I and many of Sir H's viewers wish for a collab between Lara Fabian, Dimash, and Igor Krutoy. I love the contrasts Sir discerns between Lara and Dimash as they perform the same piece. Onstage, both make incredible connections with their audiences. To me, Lara's stage presence feels intimate: one-on-one with each person; while Dimash's feels collective or encompassing: he draws his whole audience in as a group. Crowd size doesn't matter, nor the artists' genders. It's the different emotive styles of their performances. This would make a duet even more interesting.

In spanish, it is pronounced un poco (poko). In Italian however, poco can be abbreviated to po' to signify something even smaller (equivalent to poquito in spanish). So I imagine that could be the reason she omitted the last syllable since she is a native italian speaker. And as someone who speaks multiple romantic languages, it is easy to mix them up sometimes due to how similar they are. Or it could be just for melodic purposes.

Thanks for this analysis. Really enjoy your videos. had to comment on this one though. Surprised you haven't noticed her playback. I've found that all of Lara Fabian's performances of this song are actually playback. I'm a native Spanish speaker and in all these "live" performances she mispronounces certain words the same way. They are all exactly as in the studio recording version. This explains her microphone so close to her mouth all the time. Sad that she never managed to sing it live again. Beautiful song, yet sad.

While Lara’s talent is undeniable it is important to understand that she is not a diva. Eric Sicard has mentioned many times that she is humble and very approachable. Beyond that however is someone with off the charts emotional intelligence and has incredible social magnanimity. Her support of the LGBT community is well documented, shining a light on domestic abuse like in Llora is also typical. She is a philanthropist and does incredible work with children and aspiring singers. Her Llora video is tough to watch but because it is unvarnished (at Lara’s insistence) it is profoundly impactful. I agree with the others that you should watch it but you may not want to do a reaction. It is these glimpses of Lara that emphasize the totality of her gift to her fans.

Her Italian side came out here 😊.. "Un poco" it's the same in Italian and Spanish ( "a little" ). But in Italy we tend to say it shortly: Un po' 😊.

I would like to propose you a different video, and since you are one of the best at analyzing music that I have seen on the internet, if not the best, and since every live performance of Lara is unique, I would like you to make an analysis of this song, with parts of it from 1998 to 2022, which is when this fan made this compilation. It's a pretty short track, but I think it would be very interesting to hear your analysis of it. On the other hand, although I met her like many with "Je suis malade" and my favorite track is "J'y crois encore", I would also love to see your analysis of the track "Perdere l'amore", a wonderful track, I leave you the link to both videos in case you want to do an analysis of both: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXuUlHtvgtGtY68 / kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5TQmXacfZ6CnLM. By the way, thank you very much for all your videos, which, even if I don't have any interesting comments to make, I enjoy them enormously.

This is a lip-synced/mimed performance ..my advice would be to limit or reserve your analysis/ "reactions" to Lara's genuinely *live* singing efforts. Krutoy is crafty when it comes to pulling off these heavily produced, intricately staged deceptions. Example being here: In this particular show/concert the Russian Maestro has interwoven true live performances with some of the prerecorded-for-playback variety. Another devious touch: Sometimes the musicians are really playing their instruments in time while only the vocal is "faked" on other occasions the _entire_ performance is mimed , music and all.

I have noticed that, it's weird since 4 years later she sings this live, she can sing anything

I've said in many of my previous videos (whether it be Lara, Dimash, anyone else) that I choose not to speak about my thoughts on live vs lip-synced My channel is about the music, and I don't want my videos to get too long so I focus on that. We know these artists are exceptional and can perform live, and there's a reason they're as celebrated as they are. There are enough channels out there who focus on this (and other negatives) and we don't need another one in me There could be a number of reasons why a performance can't be truly live; often out of the artist's control. Everything comes down to politics at the end of the day, after all. So yeah, I don't mention this and give credit to the artists and composers because I think credit is due, irrespective of live vs non-live A lot of acapella is featured on my channel, and a similar idea comes about through studio recordings vs live performances. They shouldn't be discredited for doing a music video and studio audios. Live performances are often not as high quality for obvious reasons, and fans will complain. Fans will also complain if the performance isn't live, as it isn't as 'authentic'. It seems a lose-lose in many cases 😅 I do see an issue if the performers claim the performance is live, when it isn't. But then people could argue that it's still a live performance, just more acting than singing, and having a pre-recorded voice results in a better sound quality with no chance of singing off-tune etc... Overall, it's definitely an interesting area but for the reasons above, I choose not to discuss it in my videos ☺ I'd rather talk about the music / why the song is how it is / why it makes me feel certain ways etc
