music like this doesn't need support from the masses, it needs to be kept a secret. it protects its wonderment.

@@pietrorusso9996 Yes, but he did manage fair chart positions with his albums up to a point. But by the 90s many decent acts were disregarded over the shite ones, he's one of many treated like this, but you're right, he is treated badly, yes. I think he likely did even worse in other countries over the UK, but there we have it.

Magic song ❤❤❤ Loyd Cole should have been much more famous than he was. Excellent singer, composer, lyricist, his musicians have always been very good... From his debut with "Loyd Cole and the Commotions" then solo, his albums are of very high quality... I wonder why the public hasn't been more attentive to this wonderful artist... In any case, at 63 years old, he still sounds like just himself...his style has remained hyper personal. Excellent...🤩👍
@kyachdistent13014 ай бұрын
The same reason they never EVER support great acts, no taste. The 80s is full of great unsupported acts, some of which were welcomed, then let go with that pointless throwaway mentality the 80s via the dumb audiences, DJs and worse. What does the public know? Oh yeah, how to support trash like slagdonna and all the rest of it. Trash is the order of the decades and that's what rules the fools.

I learned to play bass guitar on ''No Blue Skies''. One night, I discovered that tuning my four strings was very helpful. Then the miracle happened. Bass lines came naturally. That night, I probably played 100 times this pure diamond till 5 am with a smile. I was with the angels. Music and melody have this power. This track is just perfection: LC's voice, the rhythm guitar intro, the crystal guitar sounds, the heavenly backing voices throughout the track, the lush synthesizer lines, the metronomic drumming by Fred Maher, and the fascinating outro starting at 3.34 with the bass chorus slowly chiming in. Man...still have thrills listening to it. Undoubtedly, part of the pop-rock pantheon. No debate.

Lloyd Cole - No Blue Skies You want to leave me, baby, be my guest All I'm going to do is cry And then I'm gonna find me someone else And tear the stars out of the sky Looking for something when there's nothing there to be found Make it easy on yourself Go out and find your body someone else Or tear the stars out of the sky Baby you're too well read Baby you're too well spoken Baby you're too pristine When I cry, do you feel anything? Baby you're too well read You want to leave me, baby, be my guest All I'm going to do is cry And then I'm gonna find me someone else And tear the stars out of the sky Baby you're too well read Baby you're too well spoken Baby you're far too clean When I cry, do you feel anything? Baby you're too well read You don't need me anymore You don't need me anymore They say storms are rife for summertime Well baby, I'm long gone What are you going to do when you open your eyes It's a brand new day and baby No blue skies?
