No stitching = no long term quality issues. I think these wallets look great too.
@petipetya4 жыл бұрын
Definitely yes. But this wallet too complicated and no english language on their website.

Google translate works really well

In theory, they would be more durable. But I like stitches on wallet, adds a touch to the look and can be elegant (machine stitch) or rugged (hand stitched).

Wow! Great surprise see one of our designs here in Walletopia. Thanks Mark!

Thanks Adolfo! Great wallet, we have the Classic Wallet II on the way which we'll put in the review queue. Congratulations on an excellent and intriguing design!

I highly recommend this one, I've only had it for a while but and as much as people think it's complicated it not. The more you use it the easier it becomes to use.

Finally! I've been waiting foe you to review anything from Lo Esencial. Will you be reviewing their minimalist wallet and clutch?
@walletopia4 жыл бұрын
We've got their minimalist wallet. I really like their offerings, very thoughtful and simple, but clean and provincial feeling

You mentioned to Adolfo having the Classic Wallet II on the way for review... is that in queue yet? I like that it shares some of the design aspects (one-piece, and with the attendant solutions for card slots and such), and I think it's better looking.... curious to see if I'm right!

Thanks for your videos. And I like your fountain pen collection, especially the limited Pelikans.

Thanks Karl! Glad you like them!

Thanks for the great videos, I find them relaxing and a nice diversion during this tough time! Like this wallet, may have to consider picking one up, especially at that price. Have you considered doing a review of the Farrah Wallet, out of Australia? I just ordered one (not cheap), hopefully will arrive soon.
@walletopia4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin! We have the Farrah! Interesting in it's design, similar to the Mitchell MCW. Glad you like the videos!

Hey Mark, have you considered reviewing their Classic Wallet II? It is the same price, but has a smaller footprint and seems slightly more practical.
@walletopia4 жыл бұрын
Yes! We already have it on order!! So it'll be coming in the future!

Mark, I’m considering buying this; before I do so, could you please tell me why it didn’t win a 5/5 for quality, despite the leather being full grain? Thanks a lot in advance! :)
@walletopia4 жыл бұрын
Great choice, for the price, the value is excellent. Regarding the quality, the finish on the flesh side was rough and no burnishing on the edges. The finesse of the finish was lacking.
@O_Rei4 жыл бұрын
walletopia Got it, thank you! I guess the unfinished interior may appeal to those who want a more rugged, Western style of sorts, but I’d also prefer the edges to be burnished.

Style over substance? As gorgeous as this wallet looks, I can see myself fumbling at the counter to try and get the cash and cards out.

Doesn't seem like there is an English version of their site. Gotta go through chromes page translate.
@walletopia4 жыл бұрын
Correcto, and don't be shocked with the price. It shows what appears to be a US dollar symbol, but the Peso uses the same symbol.

How the heck did that card fall out there?

Late again, but very intrigued…I can barely speak english (but fluent in jibberish) so tapped the english translation on the website. Wa-la! Intriguing wallet ordered. Anxiously awaiting its arrival. If I can master pulling single $ bills out of my Frenchie wallets, should be able to figure this one out. A drop of Blue Locktite on that screw should take care of the #%&% from happening. Let the fun begin…

Let us know how it goes! The first time I hit the site Google translator was my friend, but had to double check that prices were indeed in Peso's and not Dollars they had listed...that would have been a super expensive wallet :)
@watercooled81053 жыл бұрын
@@walletopia That site must have received some feedback regarding an english version being available and clearly announcing the price was in pesos. Both issues were addressed….When I first glanced at the “sale” price of the wallet, I did experience a bit of a (ok, severe) chest pain.

Just received the wallet. It’s about the same footprint as my D/O Houbei, but thicker due to the extra layer of leather. I have wallet loaded-5 bills, 7 ID/credit cards and 3 paper insurance cards. After 3 hours in my front pocket and sone rearranging, the leather is starting to relax and flatten around the contents. Break-in has begun. Gorgeous leather, updated design from your video-no spare hardware or bag. Getting acquainted…So far, so-good.

@@watercooled8105 So good to hear! I've got a couple more of their wallets in inventory, I'll break one out for a review, their designs are underrated.
@watercooled81053 жыл бұрын
@@walletopia Look forward to your reviews. Very helpful to see you handling the wallets while I listen. Figured out how to easily load and remove cash notes without unpinning wallet. Cards working smoothly now. The 1 piece leather is strong yet flexible. Also bought Classic II wallet in black.

A novel design, however I’d find that cash part so annoying it would drive me mad. 🙂
@walletopia4 жыл бұрын
Haha, yes, IF you had to open it every time. You can pull back the side of the wallet and pull the cash out without a problem.
@Grogg224 жыл бұрын
@@walletopia True, but what about after paying when putting bills back into it? EX: Something costs $5, you pay with a $20 and have at least two (2) slips of cash to put into it, perhaps more depending on what the vendor has. Just curious, thanks.

This wallet is too complicated to use, not convenient. A great design is one that is minimal, intuitive and easy to use.
