That's a Dandy little spot. I haul Catfish for a farm. They will dig fill and stock a new pond with just channel rats. Byvthe time they start to seine it, you'll seine up half a dozen or so Mudcats, aka Bullhead, and Sunfish.. Pretty much anything a Heron can drop in there. I just throw the Bullhead in the Trophy Lake with the Big Uglies. Very hostile environment for the little fellers. Lol

If you go around to the backside of that spot it's usually better fishing I'd try the other side of the road to the perch are alot bigger

That spot is where a #11 floating minnow with a Marabou flash dressed rear treble could have some explosive top water bites

It's one of my all time favorite smallmouth top water baits especially in the old florescent yellow (chartreuse) and white I use a dressed with white Marabou with a touch of red treble hook to replace the rear one it seems to increase the hits especially if just twitching it on the surface with extra long pause in between
