I thought the point of panfish was that you didn't have to filet 'em. Just scale and gut and then fry 'em whole in a pan, hence "panfish". I hate filleting fish, so if it's bigger than a pan, we bake it. My wife will filet Black Sea Bass, now that I think about it, but I don't know why it's usually just them.

@@dangareau yeah typically I’ll pan fry them but their fillets are perfect size for frying.

@@609Fishing We have sooo many frying pans. My wife recently got addicted to century old cast iron pans. No joke. She drove to Voorhees for a 90 yr old 12" Griswald. I don't know what that means other than it probably cost $100 and is so much lighter and nicer to cook with than my Lodge cast iron. Kinda like my Spinfishers are nicer than "her" Zebcos. Works out cause we can't give each other shit and we get to eat more yummy fish.
