Now that the Loadstar is somewhat drivable! THe next priority is getting it road legal with lights. This is also during our almond harvest, so I show you a glimpse into my life as an almond farmer.

Enjoyed seeing the farm, great progress on the truck! My '66 Loadstar is about to get some serious restoration this winter -- new paint, a little rust repair, upholstery work, and a fresh wood deck. Finally have it running well enough to run feed down to the livestock a couple times per week. Cool to see other people still care about these old trucks too.

Nice! These loadstar are cool old trucks. They are becoming pretty popular to restore.

Definitely agree with pull cable for shut off as opposed to wiring solenoid.

What gauge set up did you use? Have a project I'm working on with a mechanical diesel motor and was looking for something that would work for a diesel tach set up. Does this one read off the alternator? What all did you use relays for vs just a fuse?

It’s a gauge set that I got off eBay. The speedometer is gps. And the tachometer can be ran off of several different set ups. We will probably run it off the sensor on the transmission bell housing. But there is an option to run it off the alternator.

The relays I am using for all the truck electronics in the cab such as gauges, radio and dome light. I will use one for the head and tails lights. And one for the exterior running lights.

Do you recall which listing you bought from on ebay?

I am curious to know how you like the GPS speedo. Have heard they are ify but haven't heard from a person who actually has one.

Wrench Benders I have heard good and bad as well. Seems tho if you have it in a spot where it gets good signal. It works. So we will see. I am curious as well.
