Lobster Rolls From LIVE Lobsters

Yes, I caught my own lobsters for this video. What do you think "from scratch" means? Being a lifelong New Englander, I take my lobster rolls seriously. There's a heavy debate around what makes the perfect lobster roll, but let me end that debate for you now. It all starts with a soft, buttery homemade roll, lightly toasted on the outside. Inside, it should be lined with a cold filling for contrast: fresh caught lobster, bits of celery for texture, a generous serving of mayonnaise, perhaps just a bit of browned butter for nutty flavor, and optional chives and lemon juice. It's simple, but can't be beat.
Homemade Rolls
2.5 cups lukewarm water
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp active dry yeast
6 cups all purpose flour (+ more if needed)
1/2 cup melted butter
pinch of salt
egg wash
Lobster Salad
1 lb lobster meat
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup celery bits
2 tbsp browned butter
2 tsp lemon juice (optional)
2 tbsp chopped chives (optional)
salt and pepper

Nick I was born in Connecticut and lived in maine since I was six. I have been a cook at some of the best restaurants on the maine coast and this is a perfect homage to lobster rolls every thing from start to finish was how you should treat lobster. @OTF sem12 Did I say that we should kill all animals without any reason ? How pathetic your interpretation level has become. I meant that you shouldn’t care about animals too much. In the sense that you don’t even eat them, drink their milk or wear their wool. This world doesn’t function like the imagination of a vegan. Each animal serves its purpose on this planet. And part of it is that some other animals have to die. That’s why there are predators like lions, tigers, wolves etc. to keep everything in balance. And there's nothing wrong if we humans also eat meat. Yes there is a general respect that we give to animals like no torture or giving it food and drink. But if your respect reaches a frightening level where you don’t even defend yourself if an animal attacks you, then your ideology is totally wrong.

​@@RelaxingSounds-fr1yn I agree with you,I saw a video where 2 pitbulls were attacking an old man and a young guy came and saved him by shooting the pitbulls and theres people in the comment section saying that it was WRONG and called it animal abuse...theres an old guy dying and these people care about the animals that were attacking him more than the victim...I love animals but I know the limits
