Nice to see you with Mom in her kitchen again, Cari. I love seeing her vintage Pyrex and Tupperware ~ brings back memories of my Mom. Great shot of Grandma as well!

Made fried rice for dinner tonight and followed your mom’s Chicken recipe. I can’t believe how simple ingredients for the chicken was. We enjoyed the chicken and the fried rice was a perfect pair. Thank you to you and your Mom. Keep these videos coming. 👍👍

This brings back memories, can’t go wrong with fried rice - could eat it every day! Enjoying your videos with ohana so much, making me homesick for sure.. FYI your recipe on here says “uncooked rice” . I think you meant cooked rice, at least that’s how we always made it. Your mom is so. Ute, always smiling and so good natured, reminds me of my beloved mom who passed away long ago so it’s really comforting to watch your mom and grandma. Thanks for all the great videos, they do lift my spirit and give me great ideas.

Thanks for catching that! And yes, I agree... fried rice is such a nostalgic local favorite! It's humbling to hear that my videos remind you of your mom. I'm sure she is still with you everyday.

Aloha Cari and Mom, first the kitchen looks beautiful and it's so nice to see you doing a video there again. The fried rice recipe looks great, spoke to my sister about us making it and using imitation crab as a protein possibly. So nice to see your family again in the videos! Mahalo for your terrific videos, keep them coming!

Hi Cari, Great to see everyone doing well. Thank you for the vlog, really enjoyed the simplicity of the chicken. Definitely something I'll try to make. Did you use Aloha Shoyu for that recipe? Fried rice looked really yummy as well with the Portuguese sausage.
@Caritaira2 жыл бұрын
Hi Miles! Yes, we used Aloha shoyu... we usually buy the less sodium one. Let me know how yours turns out!

@@Caritaira I made the chicken tonight. It turned out great! So flavorful, moist, tender, and easy to make. Thank you so much for the recipe. I'm calling it Cari's Chicken now. Looks like you are calling it plantation chicken. I like my name better.

Lol Made the plantation chicken but with thighs bone and skin on took your dads advice added ginger and I put garlic But because it had skin and bone it should have marinated longer. But really enjoyed this video thumbs up all the way up
