omg, I hate Soul Absorption too. Metaphys players always seem to draw their one-of Soul Absorption and gain like 5000 LP and I have to attack until I use up their Kiteroid 2-10 times.

I once had a judge call at a YCS that was something along the lines of: Gozen match face-up. Opponent uses a Sage with Eyes of Blue on a Linkuriboh. I rule that it is not legal unless he has a bootleg DARK "blue-eyes" monster in his deck The ruling gets appealed. HJ rules the same way. After, I notice a Macro Cosmos/Dimensional Fissure. Awkward.

While we are on the subject... Is getting coached (during the middle of game 3, during a regional) "cheating"? IE. - "do this play instead" Also, is it "cheating" when the judge says "it's an accepted game state" when I didn't agree to shit, the opponent attempted to illiaglly activate EVERY card effect and the opponent has ridiculously unfair advantage from the coaching (potential cheating)?

I know this is well over a year ago, but it likely ties into a similar thing the magic judges do: You are only supposed to answer what is asked. If Yugioh has a similar methodology to judging (in the overarching sense) then Coder answering a question about something not asked could be considered strategic advice and a big no no. If the person asked "Can I use Super Poly on this monster?" then Coder likely has to answer the exacting question of "Can I use Super Poly on this monster?" and not anything else.

I know this is an old video, but why are you making fun of the locals guy so much? Don't get me wrong I hate those know-it-all snobby players who think their jank ass 'Ground Collapse LP Gain Turbo' deck is unbeatable, and get angry when they lose to "meta sheep" type of players as much as the next guy; however, it doesn't sound like this guy was any of that. Yeah he didn't know as much you... obviously he was not familiar with the current state of the game. He coulda stormed out of the store complaining about how interaction-less and power crept the game has gotten, but he actively wanted to see and understand the combo. And it's not like your on stream at a YCS, who cares if he looks at his deck box for a card. Guy was probably just trying to be friendly and show you that he did have some meta-relevant cards, and what Yugioh player (or _any_ game for that matter) doesn't say afterwards "aw I woulda had him if only blah blah blah... I know you were just telling a story and obviously you were the one there but idk man it just came off as kinda douchey.
