I found a half dollar sized piece of schist with a thin layer of gold on it on the south western side of Dome of the Rock Mountain near a bunch of mines old and new. I tossed it because I don't have a claim over there or gold prospecting club membership. It was near three slope mines in quartz that are in the side of mountain.

do I need to get a permit to go metal detecting in lost basin. thank you for sharing you have a good heart
@GoldFeverAdventures4 ай бұрын
No permit. If it’s on blm most of it is under mining claims. Other is private ground. Always best to join a club.

what happened to the 14 day camping limit???

They really don’t enforce it if you’re good. The forest rangers really do but not BLM

I’ve seen folks live on some of this land for years. They never care if past two weeks.

How do I know if an area is acclaimed? Trespassing signs are the only way off knowing? Apps? Topomaps?
@GoldFeverAdventures3 ай бұрын
On x or similar apps tell you about private property. BLM can tell you if the ground is open or not. You’ll need township range section and subsection maybe.
