I was advised to shield last year - 3.5 months alone in a one-bed flat with no garden access and no family nearby. Weirdly I coped ok, mentally, at the time (as tough as it was). It’s now that I feel like I’m struggling, as I try to make sense of the fact that some people view having to wear a mask for a 20-minute bus journey as being an affront to their human rights. People suck. A fortnight in a hotel - with the ability to get out for 40-mins a day - would’ve been much preferred to my experience last year. On the plus side, though, I haven’t had covid and my friends and family are healthy so I’ve lots to celebrate. Not everyone is as fortunate. This pandemic has really shown people’s true colours. That’s another blessing, in a way.

I go to him again now but less often. I still go to my chiro. It averages out to leaving the house once every 4 weeks. I’m fine with that. I would like to agree but we’ve developed quite a qlutch of Qurious people out being angry and threatening violence. We had more than our share of white supremacists and incels, about 1.5% but now they’ve gathered in all the pandemic’s fearful and confused people, persuading them that immigrants and China-owned commie government and media are all lying to (that part’s never really clear.). Still under 10% but there are pockets of kookery where scarcely half the people have had a shot. Since the national rate for all eligible people is about 82%, you can see these outliers are quite far out from most places. Unfortunately, the prairie provinces are run by stubborn white guy conservatives who did the trumpy thing so people there are in trouble and the rest of us have to hope they just stay where they are until the hospitals can let in cancer patients who need tumours removed and other “optional care”

@@rittherugger160 🤣🤣🤣 "invited" AKA imprisoned. In Norway we have quarantine requirements, but you can stay where you want for 10 days or until a negative PCR test. If you have been vaccinated or had Covid in the last 6 months there are no restrictions. We are free to walk around and do whatever we did before the pandemic. No masks and no vaccine mandates. I assume you´re vaccinated, but if you´re still afraid just get some N95 or N99 masks. If you´re still afraid you can use glasses to get some extra protection. You do understand that freedom includes a good portion of personal responsibility, right? There is no need for other people to wear masks or get vaccinated to protect you, you can do that all by yourself. Like I said, you don´t understand what freedom means.
