Outstanding picking buddy. I'm just happy 1/ it can be picked & 2/ it was no pushover👍👍 I never got it picked so nice to see inside and " how it should be done"👍😘🍻

+Pick Beard Thanks. As I mentioned to Rick, the combination of the keyway and bitting is probably what got you. Most people don't even have a pick that will both fit the keyway and reach that high!

What a great job picking with changing your picks as you need them. Like I've said before you are the king.

Oh my god. I have one of these and am completely in awe of anyone that can pick it. Amazing

Hi Harry, Interesting lock all round, with a trap et cetera, no wonder you picked it, as we say, anti clockwise. Tight keyway, and that last key pin .... deja vu, may be. You have the touch, well done! Regards, Brian.

+Brian Hignett Thanks. This was a tricky lock, no doubt, and the beveled pin could be a problem for the unwary. That said, I think the counter milling may have taken the beveled key pin out of play for the second half the picking (i.e., after you engage the counter milling), so it's not quite the obstacle that it is in a Lockwood. Also, I was very lucky that I looked up the lock before picking, and discovered the trap pin... that's the second time I've gotten lucky with a trap pin. Same thing happened with the EVVA DPS. I didn't even know there was a trap pin until I gutted it!

Evil trap pin! Very nicely picked - thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Great lock!

+Potti314 Thanks... just glad I learned about the trap the easy way (on the internet).

I watched this because I could not figure out how an "Oval Cylinder" would be able to turn? What a noob .. Great lock, well picked! Thank You

+richardwales Thanks, and thanks again for the lock! The combination of the keyway and bitting is probably what got you. Most people don't even have a pick that will both fit the keyway and reach that high!

These are certainly mesmerizing, and informative... But, has there ever been any lock that the "lawyer" couldn't pick? I'd really love to see which one that was and why that was possible not to pick

Great lock. I really like that keyway.
@lockpickinglawyer8 жыл бұрын
+RJ Robert James Thanks. The keyway is definitely tricky in its shear number of warding lines, but in practice, its not too bad with the right pick. What really makes this one tricky is the combination of warding and bitting.
@Ketnet74 жыл бұрын
were you able to turn it 360degrees while picking?
@MikePergl8 жыл бұрын
Great job. Nice warding. The trap pin is conveniently placed at the end of keyway, would be nightmare to recover from that.
@lockpickinglawyer8 жыл бұрын
+Mike Pergl Thanks. That trap pin could definitely be tricky to recover, and impossible if you didn't know where to look for the release.
@Xsidon3 жыл бұрын
so why didn't the trap pin engage? becouse you didn't turn the core enough? I have one of these locks and i consider learning how to pick it but that trap pin worries me
@lukeb63948 жыл бұрын
man what a great lock !! :) awesome warding and great security pins plus a trap pin !!:) its the complete package !! :) you did good picking it !! do you think the narrowing on the key pins could cause overseting or unlikely ?
@lockpickinglawyer8 жыл бұрын
+Lukes Locks Thanks. The bevel on the top of the key pin can definitely lead to oversets if you are not careful. See my video on Lockwood beveled pins, and I discuss that exact issue.
@lukeb63948 жыл бұрын
+LockPickingLawyer yes ive been having the same issue on a couple of challenge locks im working on the key pins have a bevel that's kind of similar it creates false feedback makes it a little tricky :)

Hey LPL, what kind/brand of lock do you have on your home door?
@soultracer3 жыл бұрын
You have to turn it around. That's not the way it's mounted in the door. ;-)
