Part 1 of decorating the sleeping loft. Taking a step back into time. Rope bed, wooden toolboxes, homemade quilts, cowboy boots, and black powder shotgun. Aww, and don’t forget our cat Archie!! ❤️

@@zwijdenes1376 I wrote this comment about a year ago.... At this moment I am having anxiety and I am in a deep depression. Thanks to you answering my comment I got this reminder of Gods Goodness. I needed this...... May God replace my anxiety and depression for trust and depend on Him.

Real nice job, looks great! That feed and wax that you spoke of is the best thing since sliced bread! I use it when I refinish furniture. I let it set for one day the next day I take a micro cloth and buff it dry. Would look great on your rope bed and would freshen up everything that you brought upstairs. I want to thank you for sharing another great video.

Jerry, what about mounting you saw box on its side on the chimney as a hearth. U could easily drop the lid down for display & use your back drawer (where level is to hide a gun or two.) Just a thought, not sure lf its long enough. You probably have a little potbelly you could put up there just for looks. If not I have one u might be interested in.

Just wanted to say what an awesome job you've done on your cabin. I've managed to follow you most of the way so far. We have similar tastes, my cabin is just a little more modern (not to much, I have insulation lol). I, like you have learned to do a lot alone (just have to improvise). Great job & great job on your videos.

that's a very pretty loft! I like that you can stand full height on it. One question: why not put the bed in the center, infront of the fireplace/stone thing? That way you're not so squished, and you can put another trunk on the other nook and actually be able to access them for clothes etc.

Is the ceiling insulated? Does the stone chimney generate heat / warmth. Lol from Minnesota, my first goal is to stay warm!
@logcabinlifestyle
@logcabinlifestyle Жыл бұрын
Yes, it doesn’t look like it in the picture and that was intentional. There’s another roof with insulation, and ventilation above that one. Stay tuned this weekend when it gets cold for a video on just what you are talking about. Been wanting to do it but it’s been to hot.

Hey I’m the same, I’m young but I was never interested in the internet ,I never Facebook cause it just sounds like drama and then people could get ahold of me haha, and I haven’t watched tv in years either waste of time and one less bill to pay, and ya I made a KZbin by accident I literally had to ask my cousin how to make a email that how far behind I am, I just like to show people what I do In the woods/mountains, and ya electric cars were some of the first cars and steam powered, electric was less hassle but the battery would leak a lot and go bad

You know... actually I like the gun rack on the bed. However, back then they didn't worry about people breaking into their homes like we do today. It was mostly community minded people who all knew eachother and would never have broken into eachother homes. Not to say it never happened but it would have been very unusual. It's sad that these days crime is not uncommon. I grew up in a rural farm area and we never locked out door at night. Like you said community is how people survive.

Why didn't you open up the fireplace in the loft? Perhaps it will be warmest place in the log cabin? With a roaring fire,..forget about it.
@logcabinlifestyle
@logcabinlifestyle Жыл бұрын
Because heat goes up. It already is the warmest place in the cabin. If you had a fire up there it would never come down at all
