Oh, I've seen a lot of films from every genre and director- drama to comedy to horror, Spielberg to Tarantino to Boyle... It's probably to do with the fact that I've grown up my whole life with Hugh playing the character so seeing him go really hit home.

Dafne Keene deserved an Oscar for her role here. She spent nearly 2/3 of the movie communicating with only grunts, growling, and facial expressions before finally speaking. Even Logan is shocked when she does. Her speech was delivered so well. All at only 12. Also if you didn't start to tear up at "Daddy" you're not human.

Well, you forgot to count a guy that got his head cut off by Laura. Even if the death wasn't shown, Laura still brings his head to throw it, which should count as being another on screen proof of death. The other 2 guys who went with him, I have no problems with, considering their deaths weren't shown, but implied. There's also a guy who gets his arm frozen by a mutant girl, who destroys it. The guy isn't seen anymore, he obviously died because of bleeding.

This is one of the few films to get CGI blood almost perfect. Most films forget to have blood stain walls from gunshots, meanwhile look at Logan's claws @ 3:02. The special effects guy heard "Rated R" and he fully went for it.

Interesting. I had really similar problems with the movie. I also think the finale is way too short to compensate the overlong, tension-building middelpart of the movie. I wasnt a real balance. And not to forget, our main protagonist's surprising change of character, when he straight up murders everyone at the end, like a terminator. Didn't knew he had these fighting skills.

I forgot just how brutal this movie was, both story and action. I totally forgot the kid with the telekinesis throwing the forest at those two, so amazing. I also don't meant brutal with no substance, all the gore was story driven, not just brutality and gore for no reason.
