The problem is, I feel like Logan's claim is so silly that it has to be a plan from his lawyers. Create a BS claim, and while that's being investigated, create the receipts, etc that they need to actually fight this in court. Not a lawyer so I'm just a dummy, but I would not be surprised if he comes out of this scot free again. Good news is the discovery. Hopefully, they can uncover the truth before his team can fake/alter the evidence.

yes... typically when you hire a lawyer, their job is to make a case for you. Their goal here is to have this not go to trial, and more than likely there's some laws in Texas specifically that would make this case especially difficult for them. On the other hand they might just be trying to get it dismissed to try and stall and exhaust the plaintiff in legal fees trying to submit another claim, which given how much money Logan has that's absolutely a strategy...

I think it's normal to fight the jurisdiction, a lot of TOS have you agree to that when you purchase in case you do want to file a lawsuit, im curious if whatever this is about if the company had this is their TOS since it's quite normal. @stephenkrahling1634 made a good point about why Texas might have been chosen by the class action or whatever. I don't think fighting the jurisdiction is a sign of guilt in any case. Normally you want it where you live so you don't have to travel back and forth at the very least.

This isn't really a complicated or especially slimey matter. The lawyers are just trying to get the case thrown out on procedural grounds that the NFT company lacked minimum contacts with Texas and thus the plaintiff couldn't sue. It's going to fail because it's trivially easy to show that the company purposefully availed itself of the Texas market if even one more person aside from the plaintiff shows that they bought Cryptozoo crap. It's a bad argument made worse by the fact the lawyers didn't do their due diligence and lied about those two employees, it's just an argument you have to make to cover your bases.
